Hell no,

Assuming everything else about the cars appears Identical and you offer me one with 2,000 miles in 10yrs and one with 40,000 miles in 10 yrs and I am looking for daily driver I'll take the one with 40k miles thank you very much.

There is a reason Chevy put Engine Maintenance mode on the Volt. This forces the car to run the engine every 30 days, if it has not been run, to maintain the seals and make sure the engine keeps proper lubrication.

Funny, people on here seem all worried about the rubber tire's getting old, well the rest of the rubber bits age also.

Of course, how can 2 cars be identical if one has 2k miles and one has 40k. Does identical mean they both only had 1 oil change, they both had oil changed every 5k miles? they both had oil change every 6 months? I mean if the 2k mile car had documentation that every 6 month it was taken to the local shop and had the oil changed and all maintance done, then it would be in the running, if the documentation showed it was driven 2000 miles from the dealership to the owners location and sat in a garage no thanks.

Huh, wasn't talking about the Bolt it doesn't have an IC engine. I said the Volt, which is an EREV it has an IC engine, which GM requires the IC engine to run every 30 days, to lubricate the engine seals.

Aside from family emergencies....I didn't buy a Sky to sell it later. I love those members who invested thousands of dollars in upgrades and a year later...SELL! SELL! SELL! I cannot see myself selling my car unless some fool offers me a ridiculous amount of money.

Many people do not buy for long term use.

I work with a guy who has owned more than 200 cars and over 150 motorcycles.

I have a friend who used to buy a new car every 18-24 months. He tried leasing thinking that the up-front penalty would slow him down, but it didn't work. He finally just grew out of it.

Think about this...200 cars...has owned. How old is this person? That means he has probably bought at least 2 cars a year and sold them. 150 motorcycles? There seems to be a inconsistency. Buying and selling within annual periods. Something does not add up.

He is in his late 50's.

There have been times he has shown up at work with a different car each month, and some he only keeps for a month.

I think he gets more attached to the motorcycles and keeps them longer, so hasn't turned them over as quickly. Of course they also take up less space.
