Extending this out a bit, will we even need to have the race in the first place?

Let me think about this a bit . . .

That depends on whether you want to use real-world chance or computer-generated probabilities to add uncertainty to the outcomes.

This is pretty cool. Looks like it is mainly for development and viewer entertainment purposes but you have to wonder if they're streaming this to viewers, what keeps the teams from using it? Might change on track tactics some. If it makes the competition better though I'm all for it. If they start talking about replacing the drivers with computers though I'm out. The human element is what makes it entertaining.

Do you follow Formula E at all? This year they get new motor, battery and power unit choices. I can't remember when, but I know they've talked about a derivative of Formula E called Roboracer that will have "driverless", electric AI cars. And I've heard rumors that Formula E is going to split again as well into battery and fuel cell (hydrogen) cars for 2021 or 2022. Honda is suposedly working on it right now, but they're having issues heat dissipation.

I watch Formula E a bit but don't follow it closely. I enjoy it and the car changes are fairly entertaining. Didn't know about the rule changes. Will be interesting to see how that changes the competition. With Fuel Cell vehicles I wonder what they will do for "refilling" the fuel cell.
