RMR rollbar is no longer available.
I talked to them a year or so ago....and they said they wont make or sell them anymore.

Anyways the term "rollbar" shouldnt be used by RMR......since their product will not protect you just in case your kappa rolls.....

Get a real roll cage........and go to a shop that specializes and is certified. Depending on what kind of raceevent you'll be joining.....they can customize the cage for your car. So you will pass inspection

but expect your car to be sliced and diced!

I think my buddy and I will go for a real rollcage with our kappas........a package discount......

Graywolf (Tom)....did a customized rollbar on his solstice. He used to be active at KP, but currently no longer active

He has a fully built engine w/ a big dejon turbo as well that do a lot of circuit racing. But I think he went back to the K04 turbo...since he hated the dejon turbo kit. It gave him hell....

His custom rollbar is very functional........

A cage is the modern standard, but it sucks in terms of aesthetics on old cars, so I still run my SCCA legal roll bar, properly braced and cross braced, and it looks nicely vintage in my old MG race car.

The Solstice is one of the harder cars to fit a useful bar into without rendering it a race-only car (there are harder - see Porsche 914, for instance)

You would need at minimum mounting pads welded to the frame for the main hoop, two rear braces at the correct angle, which would require chopping up the trunk, and a diagonal brace that would limit seat travel.

Listen to miller and check out what would pass before putting pencil to paper to design one.

There is a precedent in SCCA for a roll bar (not cage) that is anchored to the rear bulkhead in lieu of the rear braces. It requires installation of a Petty bar, which could be made removable for street use. Seat travel and hoop design are still issues, but it makes the project much more workable than having to deal with trunk mods.

Just bought my redline a couple of weeks ago. The PO did a great job with the mods and roll bar IMO

Thats an elff only size cage too. The seat would be uncomfortable being up so far (3" away from the tulip panel) for me to drive.

I'd still have room to spare.
Looks perfect for me and my wife is smaller than me, so no passenger issues either.
If that would allow me on the local NJ track, I'd be all over doing it.

Looks good. Doesn't look like it has a whole lot of fore and aft bracing, though. Not sure it would get past an anal track-day safety inspector.
