I got up the nerve to try the buffing and polishing. I used Turtle Wax Polishing liquid first with a soft foam/sponge pad. Took swirl marks out pretty good. Grit scratches-not so much. There were some foggy areas in the paint on the passenger door that I went especially after. After the polishing compound I used GRIOTS 3in1 with a super soft foam pad....it did the trick. I got a 6 ft reflection back.

Cloth drying after a hand wash is the culprit. Somehow tiny pcs of grit make swirls and tiny scratches.

I'm getting the leaf blower out for hands free drying !

Turns your grit into very high speed grit . . .

Hard to win this war with grit.

I'm attending some sort of detailing class at McGuire's HQ in Irvine this Saturday with my club. Will share what I get out of it.
