air box performance K&N

Hi !

Does this type of air box performance exist for our vehicles? It exists for certain models such as the Opel Astra?

I replaced my air filter with a simple kn.
During road checks, I would not have any problem with this type of air box, even with the K & N rating.

The authorities are rather ... complicated in case of control with the air intake system
If not, do you think it is possible to keep the original box and integrate a filter of this type?
And above all, useful.

The link here but in german https://ftt-shop.franke-turbotechnik...--Astra-G.html

As far as I know, no one has found any performance advantage from changing from the stock air filter.

It cleans up the appearance of the engine bay and eliminates a plastic elbow that can break. Other than that, zero benefit.

Some people think it looks better (I don't)
Some people think it sounds better (I don't)
Some people think it improves performance but I haven't seen any real evidence of that.

'Better' depends on your point of view. Some people buy them just because they are into under hood bling, or they just think it is neat somehow. To each their own. But I agree with John that there is little functionality to this particular mod.

[QUOTE=Better' (..)[/QUOTE]

My last answer was like a sales action. SMASH! A joke..

That the answer of JohnWR answered my question exactly : that this type of modification did not bring anything at this end.

Same for the post about a unusual and disturbing sound, I will listen people have knowledge.
