Convertible top flaps behind the seats

Looking for the silver flaps behind the seats of my 2008 saturn sky redline. Not really wanting to pay new price at GMC.

Your best option is some place like this which is a GM dealer who sells parts on the internet at a fair discount:
2007 Saturn Sky Base Convertible BODY PANELS/REAR COMPARTMENT FRONT PANEL & F/TOP DOORS

Or, watch the forums for someone parting out either a Solstice or a Sky, the parts are the same on both.

@Hoosier GXP

Good luck!

Wait, so even though the "humps" on the Solstice and Sky are different sizes, the tulip access panels are the same?

The door flaps are the same, tulip panels overall are different shapes, as are the trunk lids.

Look up the part numbers:
Sky Tulip Panel = 25883230
Sol Tulip Panel = 25883229

Sky LH Door panel = 15825825
Sol LH Door Panel = 15825825

Sky RH Door Panel = 15825824
Sol RH Door Panel = 15825824

There you go.

The doors are about $100 each. The hinges, springs and other mechanical bits and pieces are expensive or unavailable. I found it cheaper to go on eBay and buy a spare tulip panel with flaps for $225 with free shipping. I bought two as spares for the club. Unfortunately what frequently happens is the hinges get jammed then bent and break off when the owner tries to correct the issue. And you cant buy the hinges anymore.

The hinge mechanism is glued to the bottom of the tulip panel which is why some failures require replacing the entire top of the tulip panel. However I figured out how to swap out bad mounts for good ones using heat to activate the adhesive that holds the structure to the bottom of the tulip panel.

See here

Here is an example. Its twice what I paid but if you keep your eye open you can probably find one for less

As usual Dave is totally correct. None of the Sky body panels will fit on the Solstice or vice versa. See Skystice. The door panels and most interior body panels and parts - excluding the forward console and the dash are directly interchangeable. Seats are the same but for logos. The humps including the trunk and tulip panel are more sharply peaked on the Sky than on the Solstice

I just had one of the flaps stop working. The plastic retainer that held the cable in wore out and broke. The other side wasn't looking too great either. I was able to buy one @ about $30. I tried to buy 2 but the dealership could only find one and they had to ship it from another state. I set out to the junk yard for other car needs and while I was there, kept my eyes open for a suitable substitution. I have found that the plastic clips that hold the cables onto the rear hatch latch of a Chevy Trailblazer are the exact same dimension. So there you go. Chevy Trailblazer, rear hatch latch...

I assume this is what you are describing in the previous message? Door Lock Rod Clip. Available at almost any auto parts store in the country for about $3.00

Yep, GM have used these for a while for a number of things. My GMC Sierra 2004 uses them for the tailgate and they brake all the time.

Auxiliary lights

Under my fog lights is an H11 bulb. I have converted all my lights to LED’s but these lights i left stock as they do not work. The bulbs work i have tested them but the lights never turn on. Anyone know what could be wrong?

I am confused by "under my fog lights", as I do not have any lights under mine. Do you mean the fog lights themselves? Or did someone add lights below them?
