HELP!!!! Need Steps To install Billet Upper Grille

I bought a billet upper grille for my sky on ebay. I cut the square part where the saturn logo was and now for the life of me I have no idea where to hold up this grille with the brackets. The ebay directions are no good. Does anyone know how to do it? I've search this forum and I'm not finding anything.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately not many members have installed the billet grill, (not I however), however, fortunately for you there have been a dozen or so, therefore you are going to have to wait for one of those members to pop into the forum or read your post to assist you. I do believe though that one of them that did is one our forum admins (robotech), and he lives here, so be patient and I'm sure he'll reply and some help will come your way.. My only concern is I hope you hacking off a part did not do damage to the way it was suppose to be removed and the billet installed.. In the mean time, welcome aboard and do not fret, a member will assist and help you if they know the answer you seek ..

I have the full billet set on my Sky. I was able to pretty easily install all of the pieces (3) except that one. The set I bought (years ago now) had directions for drilling the honeycomb plastic, but I couldn't figure any way to get my hand behind it to hold the nuts. I left it in the box until the front end was off the car for some paint work and had the body shop do it.

Not much help, but you're not along scratching your head at it.

If it's the grill type I was able to put two screws in through the honeycomb but it was not flush or very tight. Once I put the chrome piece back on that held the grill in tight. I have not had any issues with in and it's been on for two years now. The lower grill was a real pain.

Garage
I do have one on my Sky but I bought the car that way, didn't put them on myself. Suckers weigh a ton too.

Best bet is to take off the bumper and do it off the car. When I had my parts off when I was getting the bumper painted and it is much easier to get to everything with it off the car. That's for certain.

If you're not comfortable doing this kind of work on your car, best bet is to have someone do it for you.

And MB, I don't live here...I just check here often. LOL

I know this is an old post, but where did you get that grille insert?!
Ive been looking for the full bar for the upper grille forever and can only find the split ones that keep the Saturn spoiler.

Its actually really challenging to find. Ive only found a single vender for them. They are made of tig welded aluminum, and they will do them in mat black, gloss black, polished chrome, brushed aluminum, and I think maybe one other option. Just have to tell them which one you want.
They are made by UTVproducts and I found them on Ebay. $209 and $15 shipping.

Search GTG 2007-2009 Saturn 2PC polished Replacement Combo Billet Grille Kit.
Should be able to find it that way. Mine is ordered. Should have pics up in a couple weeks =)
