Thanks. I did a quick look for that, didn't find it right away, and took the easy way out.

No worries. I had to click through almost all of the 25 documents associated with the recall until I found it. LOL I kept pulling up documents and none of them mentioned it...I kept thinking "I know I read that in one of these somewhere."

I think I stumbled upon it on click 12 or something. LOL

So it took how long to finally get a recall issued by the NHTSA?

This is frickin' hilarious, I almost blew my coffee out my nose...

Check out this recall on my Tesla:

Mine failed within one year, but because it was on a salvage title they would not replace it.

As I said from day one, bandaid fix. California is near making cars that have safety problems illegal to sell according to my friend at DMV. No idea how they will enforce as we do not have a safety inspection, or maybe that is in the wind.

I know they are now stopping vehicles that "sound to loud and require opening of the hood. @Robotech was sited for his Velositor at a car show. He can tell you about that. Supposedly if engine appears to be modified, you get a ticket and have to go to the smog referee. Once that is done, supposedly you have to take the car every year back to the ref. 1000.00 for every violation. IE Illegal cold air system, different charge tubes, bigger turbo, high flow cat, you are looking at a 4000.00 fine. I have not seen this in writing as yet, but was told by Finance Manager at Gosch Ford. He has an 800HP fusion that he is putting back to stock this weekend. Well at least in appearance.

Man this state sucks!!!!!!

As stated no more GM, Canyon is gone, Volt is gone. And seriously thinking about getting rid of two of the Sky's. Plus moving to Utah as soon as possible. lol way too old for all this crap.

Not true on the fine. Two charges to be reffed. One is exhaust, one is modification of a smog device. One each. Exhaust is up to $1000. Not sure on the smog device.

There is no break down of the different modifications on the smog charge. If it is a $1000 fine, it will only be one fine.

Have you been to the ref yet? Anxious to hear the real story. Good luck to you on this.

Not yet but just got the ticket in the mail. About $850 for all three violations (exhaust, no front plate, and smog violation). If they are corrected...$75.

The guy at Gosch said his friend got hammered, 1000 for each violation. He might have been racing though. I don't know. I know it was enough for him to take everything off.

He may have been sited for multiple counts of the same charge. If he was racing that would be why the officer would really have let him have it.

The problem isn't what they taste like, it is how tasty they think you are.
