Windrestrictor Problem

So I am getting a little annoyed now. I am trying to get my new windrestrictor installed and I am having issues getting it to illuminate correctly. The LED strip provided with my Version 2 windrestrictor is about 8 inches long. This is far smaller than the opening provided on the bottom of the windrestrictor. When I test out the illumination the LEDs are only shining straight up so any laser etching to the left or right of the LED strip is not illuminated.

The logo is 13 inches long, and the LED strip is around 7 inches. This is causing the logo to be unevenly illuminated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Send an email &/or pm to WR with your phone # (and hours you can be reached)
& stating you are having problems -
someone (probably Stephen) will call you & walk you through it.

from what ive heard, the LED's they provide on their strip has a wide range of light dispersement, meaning when shining through the WR, it doesn't just aim straight ahead but also a little to the left and right. when you tested it out it didn't do that?

i've ordered their version 1 without illumination, and have also acquired a 3 foot long blue LED strip. im gonna try and do a little modifications of my own

edit: all done! check WR thread

Here is a good picture of what I'm talking about. Notice that the center is much brighter than the rest.

On mine my graphics are close together....Someone at Myrtle Beach asked me about this too...as you an see, the Rebel logo to the left is not lit all the way, but it still looks good to me!

Second picture, at night. I am going to try and get either a second LED strip, at which case I would extend the groove at the bottom of the windrestrictor to hold both, or a custom set of LEDs that would illuminate the entire image evenly. If anyone has any ideas where I could get a custom strip that would still work with the brake light module, please let me know.
