Sky Redline MACH Exhaust Kit

SOLO Performance is proud to offer the Sky Redline MACH Exhaust Kit. The MACH system is SOLO's quietest exhaust for the Sky Redline. This Sky Redline MACH kit was developed primarily for people that want quieter high performance. This system uses SOLO’s MACH series dual in, dual out, true X design muffler. Here are some attributes of our Sky Redline MACH system:
  • Dual Exhaust with the free flow MACH muffler.
  • Front Section- Full 3" mandrel stainless pipe with laser cut stainless flange, stainless oxygen sensor bung, 3" double braided flex pipe and additional hanger bracket. This 3" section actually sits ¼" to ½" higher than the stock 2 ½” exhaust.
  • Rear Section – A 3” in, 2 ½” dual out, stamped stainless Y pipe exits into two 2 ½" polished stainless mandrel pipes that enter a SOLO free flow true X design, ceramic and glass packed, polished stainless MACH muffler. Tails with stainless tips completes this rear section.
  • Sound- Quieter performance is what this system offers. A beautiful smooth sound.

Hi guys -
I had my quad-tip MACH exhaust and high-flow cat installed this weekend at NASSM.

It's sounds awesome, and the fit is PERFECT.

Unfortunately on entering the freeway we pitched a P0420 code.

Is this typical with the high-flow cat? I've seen a few posts relating to Magnaflow and other brand kits, but never the Solo kit.

And suggestions appreciated.

Your highly detailed mods signature, while impressive, really really screws up Google & site searches.

First off, thanks for supporting SOLO. In regards to your CEL, make sure that the 02 extender was installed in the rear most 02 bung. Installation in the wrong bung will cause a code...some customers have even forgotten to install the 02 extender right off the bat. If this all checks out, then make sure you have no leaks. I leak will also set off a code...everything should be torqued to 60ft/lbs. I hope this helps you.

Hmm - was an extender supposed to be included or was that something I needed to get separately? (I did not have one)

Is it absolutely required or can the stock harness be pulled to "work"?

I will also ask the DDM guys to comment on the sensor connection.

The extender is not a wire....it is about a 2-3 inch stainless bung extender that screws into the 02 bung. The 02 sensor then gets plugged into that. They come with all kits, and are sometimes thrown away by accident because they are a smaller item. You can not pull the stock harness...you risk damaging the wires and will not get much more slack anyways. I hope this helps.

As a kind side note...nothing personal at all, but I deleted the posts about the signature stuff...it was way off topic and not appropriate in a vendor's product thread.

And now, back to our SOLO products

Do you have your 02 extender installed in the correct location?

With a tune, you can turn off the code as a whole.

What is the difference between and 02 extender and the 02 sensor?

The extender is a small stainless piece that screws into the bung. The 02 sensor actually screws into the extender. The extender is used to take the 02 sensor farther out of the exhaust stream...it keeps the CEL off.
