Remember, you heard it here first. :)

Just kidding!

But considering what has happened in the last 12 months

there is just no telling what in the world the future may bring.

Little White Lightning... the Skyvette... has some shiny new... old shoes.

marlboromike 08-06-2009 05:34 PM

is that 1986-87 vintage?

SkyVue2 08-06-2009 05:48 PM

Always liked those sawblades.

Not quite that old. But yes, C4 wheels. '93-'96 era. Came off a 1996 vert.

Awesome! Looks great!

hope the cops are not going to give you a hard time for having the wheels sticking out to far from the outer edge of the wheel fender. but like the look of it. did you have to use spacers in order to fit them on.

Those look really sharp! :dthumbs: What size are the rims? That was a helluv an idea!

17" X 8 1/2" front
17" X 9 1/2" rear

Wow...I really like that.

In general I hate most of the custom wheels that people seem to love, but that looks really good, especially with those fat tires.

You should see about getting some Saturn logos for the center hubs. It just doesn't seem right to have a Vette logo there.

Heh heh, love those corvette salad shooters :D

Bet the 1980 series would also look great:

Those are nice old 15" rims
:nonod: but don't think they'll fit.

"Say what?"

Yeah, but from a distance
these emblems look line a thick line across a thin circle..
With the cfours there's just no familiar crossed flagpoles.
Already keeping all the other OEM Saturn logos in place.
Was thinking about going with maybe ...
something Vauxhall .... for SKY heritage.

Fitment fail. I really like those wheels but order to run them like that you'll need to slam it, buy smaller tires, stretch them, and possibly pull the fenders. That would look mean but right now it looks horrible.

They are running just as they appear. These dress shoes will not see a dragstrip and will not enter any autocross events. Front tire/wheel weight is about the same as stock at right around 52lbs, with the rears a couple of pounds more. These Skyvette spats are mostly for zooming around town. For cross country trips she'll go back to a more conventional set of jogging shoes.

With 285/40/17 Eagle GS-Cs.

I'm not talking about how they drive, I'm talking about how they look. Poked out wheels are cool but they have to be ran right. It should look like this:

Right now it looks like a ghetto low rider:

But really, they don't stick out that far.
