Maybe I missed it but the users profile banner welcoming you to the site always shows you a percentage of your profile, is really annoying and I'm not sure how to get rid of it. I don't want to subscribe to a thread to complete it. Just want to keep it closed. I've tried minimizing it, but it's always open again when I return. Can you have an option to stop this?

Lightbulb Just a Comment:

I think the Administrator need to reconfigure the "Signature" section.
They are a distraction and are way to large in fact, the signature area is being used as a advertising gimmick if you ask me.
I would call for a resizing to a smaller fonts that would not distract when reading a general post. geessss!

While I may agree with you TS, I don't read the banner when I'm here, it's the great info I get here.

Believe I fixed the problem, and made it so it won't happen again

I have used active posts most of my time on the Solstice board. It is a feature that is needed. It has been changed their to new posts, but it gives you the opportunity to go back a day or two weeks. This site needs that option in one of the headers.

The Solstice forum is now updated also, but if you go to your edit options you can choose classic veiw and it looks like it used to. I would very much like to have that option here.

Subject character length? I've notice that the subject line is significantly shorter when displayed after posting. For example, I just posted a couple of items I found for sale on Craigslist.

This is what I posted in the Subject; F/S OEM ChromeWheels/Tires$300CastleshannonPA.
But this is what I see on the main screen: F/S OEM ChromeWheels/Tires$3...

Another example; F/S L&RHeadlights$220BixbyOK.
And this is what I see on the main screen: F/S L&RHeadlights$220Bix...

Anyone know what the deal is?

From a vendor pov I'd like to say advertising is easier than ever before as well. However, they do have bunching over sentences if you go above size 4. It's not a huge issue. I just use smaller fonts when typing paragraphs. Thanks.

You're not seeing what? The ads themselves or the shortened subject lines?

I'm still not seeing the complete subject line on either F/S post. But then I also don't see the complete banner on my Mac.

On my Dell screen I see the complete banner, but still don't see the complete subject line on either F/S posts.

The only way I see the complete subject line on either computer is when I click on the threads to read them.

I'm not seeing the shortened subject lines on any of my three ways of viewing this forum, 24" desktop screen, 15" Dell Laptop or my iPad 1.

The longer subject lines wrap to the next line when there isn't enough screen width to show the entire subject line.

Wierd.
