My solution to the problem is a plastic Folgers coffee can lid as shown in the 2nd and 3rd photos below. The felt-tail keeps the lid from sliding off the top. Not an expensive solution .......
My bumpers are both missing. I guess thatís a good thing? Also, I found the perfect cover for the top when itís in the trunk. A flannel baby crib fitted sheet. Fits like a glove.

No logo on mine but good enough for me! Photo shows two examples and you can specify colors.

Mine doesn't have any logo's. Just a Sky silhouette and Sky Redline lettering. Looks good for my needs.

skersfan Just realize I was on the Sky thread. John you actually have snaps on the dash. Neither of the cars that I have, have snaps in the dash. Mine uses a fiberglass rod, that springs between the pillars.

skersfan On the Sky ones you don't have to drill into the dash. I hate the snaps on the car, but have hidden them with black caps and the carbon fiber wrap. I have never put mine on. It was in the original box, which like an idiot the dealership threw away.

I don't think they would be hard to make though. Solstice one is different in other ways, to. Some actually go around the antenna.

JohnWR I have occasionally seen them for sale. Some of them by people who bought them and then decided to not drill the required holes in the doors and the top of the dashboard.

idle-mind Do these tonneau covers still exist?

44thSKY Huff, I just use a doubled folded beach towel providing cover from dust and protection of the top canvas. Then I add the Folger lids to spread the force of the rubber bumpers.

Fans of opening the trunk and hood at car shows use the blankets like yours. IMO the car's superior lines are much more interesting to those interested in the Kappas. For that reason, I never open the trunk or the hood at car shows. A Kappa blanket would just take up needed trunk space that my wife needs dearly. Heck, everyone knows the car has an engine and mine is strictly stock, nothing to see. Plus I have several laminated sheets I place under the wipers on the windshield that has Kappa information, etc.. A hood up would block those sheets.

When showing our Coupe (again no hood up), a lot of people have told us they like the Coupe with the Targa top left on the car. Even in the Phoenix Valley half of the people who stop and comment on the Coupe say they have never seen one, nor even knew one was made. Some suggest/ask if it is a one-off.

I ordered a Kappa Blanket from Taylor Threads. Very nice blanket with a Sky logo and lettering stitched in. It lays across the top when folded down. Completely covers the top so the rubber stops and trunk underside does not rub against the top.

skersfan Mine stays up unless I am driving it, then it is down. Seldom drive the car with the top up. We live in a pass area, meaning lots of dust and wind. The car gets filthy just setting in the storage facility. Having the top down would make it a bigger job cleaning it up to drive.

I never lock my car if parked outside. Much rather lose what ever they think is in there than have them cut the top. I don't have anything in the car to steal anyway. But mine is seldom in that type of a situation.

Mostly I leave the top down as I generally don't drive it in cold or wet weather. At work I will put the top up - work at a university so don't want kids throwing crap in the car. In the garage it is usually down but I will put it up to stretch it out if it has been a few days since it was up. I can see compression marks on the material from the rubber bumpers of the trunk lid. I thought the bumpers we to push the top down and keep it from snagging on the underside of the trunk lid.

I would think the extra cover would be more hassle than its worth so haven't looked into it and not a look I like.

As for going topless in Canada - hasn't really caught on like some had hoped...
