RIP Don. Was full of equal opportunity insults, as no one was safe from him.

|TomatoSoup||Funny, I've seen Kelly's Heroes a number of times (though not recently) and didn't remember Don being in it. Heh.|

"Yea...will you quit whining I haven't even asked ya yet!"
"You guys smell like S***...kinda makes you home sick, doesn't it?"
"I'll give you $50 to carry this machine gun. NO I don't have it on me!"
Loved him in Kelly's Heros. Need to find it and watch it tonight.

Sorry to see Don Rickles has passed away. A funny guy, the shock comedian before the PC crowd was in full force. Some of the Tonight Show stuff with Johnny Carson, and Burt Renyolds , Dom Deluise was slap stick improve at it's best.
The Dean Martin celebrity roasts were the thing to watch, for late night jabs at your favorite celebrity long before twitter. The Las Vegas stand up shows, the Bob Hope USO tour shows, and he was a friend of Frank and the Rat Pack. Run Silent Run Deep one of the better submarine movies, there he was with Burt Lancaster and Clark Gable Hollywood icons there was Don wise cracking away in the forward torpedo room, and of coarse the famous Kelly's Heroes movie, Clint and Telly and that Oddball guy... Donald too. Crapgame you mind if I go show the boys this gold bar? Sure sure just remember where you found it, be a good boy bring it back.
One of the few comedian that could make almost anyone laugh, at themselves. While not popular with todays views on things he was an innovator in his craft, constantly honing his stick, over many many years. From the tough one night stands, to the big stage of Vegas, Hollywood to the TV specials and shows he appeared in, he will not be forgotten. R.I.P. Don.

"Hello, Hogan? It's Crap Game..." I thought of this when I took my car for the water pump to be replaced (Hogan Muffler Shop). The line also reminds me of Robotech's avatar: "Nevvvver heard of it..." (dif movie, right?).
Lots of good video out there that will allow those of us that appreciate him to enjoy him. I think he was a 'comedian's comedian' mostly. If you watch 'Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee', he's on there once, but he gets mentioned by lots of the other comedians that appear on the show. I like that torrero music that the entered to as well. Pretty cool.
RIP, Mr. Warmth....

I remember him from my youth and not really knowing how to react to his humor, yet somehow understanding how good it was. Had lost track in the many years since.
