2.4l Turbo - Wet Sump Oil Return System (NO BLOCK DRILLING)
Hello guys. I have been trying to make a decision about my oil return line setup for my turbo and ended up decided to just drill my engine block. I would be posting this as an update to my turbo thread, but would like to keep this seperate.. Basically before i made the decision to just drill it, i was looking for any and all other options i had to leave the block unmolested. Since i hadnt seen a design or any threads about this (surprising there isnt though considering everyone wants to avoid the block drilling), i designed a wet sump system for the 2.4 using a helical gear pump specifically for turbo scavenging to avoid having to drill out the OEM boss on your block. It is similar to the systems used to scavenge oil from low & rear mounted turbos. Would anyone be interested in me posting this design up on here? It would include design and a bom. Im sure pretty much everyone on here could have designed a system like this by themselves, but i figured someone should document it for all. So, let me know if you guys would like me to post. If so ill mock up the P&ID on CAD.
