And I note by your photo you also broke or re-enforced your front clips with the Fiberglas. I had a new unit to install, but did break one of the front clips off when I removed the cover and kept that piece to reattach when the time comes. I was advised about that happening on removal of the cover, but I still screwed up and broke one of the clips.

Your post correctly advises about that potential and not losing the clip and reinstalling it. Good advice!

a_bartle If it's only become "soft" in the middle due to the plastic frame breaking down and the vinyl on the topside is still good, you can repair it (I used fiberglass resin on mine).

Rob the Elder try parts.com they bought the new old stock from GM and have a lot of the remaining parts

Huff Strange the center console isn't available any more. I had no trouble finding one about 6 months ago. Ordered thru my local dealer.

Try Tascaparts.com. Usually if they list it on their website its available.

JohnWR Does the top actually show damage? As Bob stated, repairing the "frame" is not difficult, and is quite effective.

Your best bet for a replacement, if you have to go that way, is probably a salvage yard.

They are all sold out the information is incorrect they sent me a refund. I also called a dealership about the part they said that all the dealerships are sold out as well. I hope someone has a new one on here that I could purchase if possible.

skersfan Is the leatherette skin torn or just bowing. If the skin is not torn, take the part off, and drill small holes in the webbing underneath. Safety wire it back together. Then take epoxy and glue the web the length of the crack and one or two blocks over. It will be good as new. It is caused by putting weight on it when getting in and out of the car. I use the E brake handle sometimes to support myself.

You can fix it, not a big project at all.

I will look at the switches I have for the Solstice, and see if they might work. I have several sets of them I think.

Another Part needed Center Console arm rest
So my center console armrest piece is cracked been that way for a while. I know ddm works does put a custom part out that's around 300$ but I prefer having the oem part. Any help is appreciated will pay for the part.

Part Number :: 25811081 2006-2010 GM Rear Console it's the ebony one
