I'm still doing research and working on drawings, as soon as I have it all together I'll start a thread. Sorry for straying off topic.

Having both would be great

Having a hard top that matches the color of the car would look sharp. I am all about flexibility, soft top during the summer and hard top during the cooler months.

Chewievette I'm working on an idea for a semi-perminant hard top for the solstice/sky. I'm going to post up a thread about it in the next couple of days as per brentil's suggestion. Keep an Eye out for it!

If you go check out the S2000 site on Honda's web page they also sell other accesories along with the hard top itself as example ideas. They have a roll able floor stand and wall mounts.

Agree with Brentil. Highly doubtful it'll cost that much. I freaked when I compared my hardtop for the S2000 ($3500) vs. Miata ($1500). So, I don't see it being more than $3500. If you really want a hardtop, you could wait couple of years for an aftermarket piece. Heck you could even get a CF one for that much.

Why do you think the price would go up that much? Also are you refering to a Coupe car or a removable hard top?

If the car was offered in a Coupe version the car would more then likey cost less then the Convertible version. Coupe vehicles are easier to design, require less extra support componenets, no complex roof mechanics, more trunk space, etc.

Looking at prices of removable hard tops also shows them hardly costing that much. The Miata one straight from the Mazda dealership costs only $1500. Getting the MR2 removable hard top shipped over from Japan only costs $3500.

It's perfect the way it is.... and even if I had the hard top free... would I use it?
