Interesting. I never really get to compare the two since with the conversion I effectively only have IAT2...

The intercooler seems to take care of that. My IAT2 was very steady for my short drive as a little above ambient.

I hope you got that swapped. I know Curtis was fighting with that other Nissan Mess on Saturday. How'd it go and what did the compression/leak down numbers look like on the LNF?

I was rather impressed with the job the factory intercooler was doing. My IATs where going over 100 as the car sat running but the IAT2 stayed a bit above ambient. The IAT dropped like a rock once I started moving again but IAT2 stayed pretty consistent, even boosting up to 14ish psi.
That's odd...IAT should be pretty close to ambient and IAT2 I'd think would be a degree or two higher at those boost levels. That IC is designed around 18-22 PSI so 14 should be pretty easy for it to cool things down...just the differences in IATs seems a little strange.

I got a new cam in the new engine this Saturday. I say cam, singular, because the new exhaust cam we ordered had some damage to it. Not major and could have probably been filed down and corrected but...it's a brand new OEM cam. Shouldn't need to take a file to a new OEM part. Good news is vendor already has another sourced and should be on it's way asap.

LAC Sky As I look over these last few comments from our owners, about what is going on for their gem, what's the latest news a few things
caught my eye.

1) Upside down photos and a color unknown to our community. It's always something to make your day here.
I found in my many years, you don't want your Vert.. in an upside down position. Ever. I could be wrong here....see you in the
emergency room to discuss this later.. maybe.
LAMBO Orange. New one to me, and many owners here. My ears perk up along with my interest when Lambo is mentioned. I had one
pass me once whoosh...... when I was a young driver. Scared the living sh*t out of me, then it was Gone in 60 seconds....I want one.

2) BIG mirrors and 10k.... I like Big but not that big...or that expensive either.
All the better to see you with my pretty...Little/Big mirrors Red Riding Hood.
Better slight lines in our car is always a plus in my book.
With the top up or down, I wanna see where or what I can, whenever I can when dealing with the masses.
Expensive in the body shop even if your are careful here.
The masses can not... see this car. Below their line of sight sometimes.
Most are driving houses on our hwy's and we are driving a Match Box car here.
You know what happens to Match Box cars, they get kicked around the living room by something bigger.
They did in my day, your results will vary.

10k tombstone... Here lies the dearly departed. Hey don't go all Elvis and shoot it.
Never a good thing to spend it $$$, then be disappointed with the lack of results. Happens.
Recoup what you can from this. It is a sign from the Lord of the Kappa, if it ain't broke, don't mess with a good thing.

3) New head unit, cleaning & repairing the top, the solenoids replacement. Better tunes for your listening enjoyment while cruising
the miles with smiles.Nothing wrong with that improvement. A good buy err Best Buy. Hands free for options,
because we know the police never use their cell when driving cruiser these days.
Repairing the top, been there done that... and it continues for me. About a week ago. Only frown I have with my car.
Sooner or later those solenoids will go bad. But.. wait if your order right now we will double your offer with free shipping.
Good you will need to do this replacement at some point. Mine is not bad right now, but it could get worse.
Be prepared like a Boy Scout in case it does, just sayin.
Finding or not finding here loose bolts in your engine bay is never a good thing.
Check often. You never know, leave nothing to chance before you turn the key. Was just under my hood twice in the last 3 days.
Cleaning, tightening, checking for anything out of place. Two hoses need a closer look for me.
Power steer hose, and maybe a oil cooler line near the turbo? Some interior cleaning to do.

Then my look over is complete. Everything I could check, clean, tighten, inspect before the summer driving season is in full
effect.

As for me and my baby ACM... Asphalt Combat Maneuvering .. about to make a day long run sometime soon here.
One of these clear bright blue early morning sky's, no clouds to be seen, grab the Go-Pro, & keys and were off.
Weather here is sweet right now. Go-Pro dash cam, couple of back road twisties are in my future.
The "Northern" Compass Points Run will be added to LAC Films You-Tube site for your enjoyment.
I'll put up the link soon for the Run to Conowingo Dam, back roads across the state run here.
Some text read of this trip will be on my profile page, of how the day went dealing with the masses.
A good cruise, great weather, back road fun, couple of video's & photos, maybe a good lunch too what's not to like about that for
us Permagriner's? Two new short video's for the Back Country roads of Wash. Co. will be added soon too.
Something new for the location of the Go-Pro mounting spot. At road level at speed, in the opening for the IC.
Could be fun.. we'll see?

Stay safe out there members, owners. The season of the vacation is upon us all now. The masses in force will be out and about. Don't trust their judgement ever when your baby is out and about stretching her legs, giving you the smile you deserve for owning this car.

Remember here.. sometimes they can't see you or our car. On the road, in a parking lot, day or night... SUV... RV's,
Pick up truck lifted, to the clueless out of town visitor that might have insurance, then again maybe not.

Amorget The 08 threw a P0014 on Saturday so today she got the solenoids from my 07 as that motor is being pulled so I figured why not give them a shot and save the $$ for now. While I was at it I changed the oil and filter plus spent some time cleaning under the hood. I found that the solenoids had been replaced before... and they broke one of the clips and were using a zip tie to hold it on. I ended up depinning the one from the 07 and swapping it onto the 08, which means a trip to the junk yard is in order to grab another good clip from some poor GM vehicle in there. I also found that my no. 4 ignition coil bolt was basically backed all the way out. I need to grab a secondary 02 plug while I'm there as that is broken on the 07. Glad I did all that as I have a 5 or so hour drive later next week to a car show.

Took it for a drive hoping the SES would reset by itself, but it didn't, at least not fast enough for me. I got home, cleared the codes and then played with my scanning software as I went for another drive to make sure the code didn't just pop right back. Software is a bit dated but hey, it works and has a lot (all?) of the GM Extended PIDs.

Well I am a jarhead, and never quit at anything. But I have given this load of crap from DDM all I have. I am taking it out of the car, going back to stock. My guess is that this pile of junk has destroyed my engine. We will do compression check and leak down test on Monday. If it is out of standards, out it comes. I have invested well over 10K in trying to make this pile $hit work, and god knows how many hours. Perfect engine, never a code. and I turned it into this. This is the second time I have been burnt by DDM, should have learned on the Mallett, but I didn't. We now have the turbo pumping oil out the exhaust side of the turbo, in less than 500 miles. This thing has been a time bomb. So Dave if you are still wondering, yea I think you sell a lot of junk and a line of crap a mile long. I don't care that you are a sponsor, or what you do for the Kappa family. You and your company have lied to me so many times, over and over and over. I can promise you this, if you were here in California you would be in small claims court. I will eat this deal, but I will do everything I can to enlighten everyone that thinks you are a god, just exactly what you have done on this situation over the last year and 5 months.
'
i am loving the new mirrors.on any road there is basically no blind spot.
i shoulder check,see nothing.look in mirrors and find a vehicle that i couldn't see
with a shoulder check.just like having an electronic blindspot monitor.
highly recommend to everyone if they can find the mirrors.
thanks again Bob for securing the left mirror for me.
