Besides extra space it eats up, if the Sky top is like Solstice it's a little more complex then the tops that just fold away into trunk. To finish it coming up seems to require some manual effort to attach "winglets" that extend off top into hooks on top of trunk.andrewplanet said:All a power top will do is take even more of the precious truck space that still remains. Yes it would be a nice feature but I'm not going to give up my last 2 cub. ft. of trunk space for it.
Yes it's a rear hinge trunk (clam shell). The last step after it's unfolded and attached to the windshield header is to attach the winglets (little triangle extensions off the top) to the trunk tiedowns. At least this is what we think it will berolandchen said:Yes, I can see the two winglets on the trunk lid.
I "think" the center piece behind the two seats will rise up with the rear window and the roof and unfold it.
From what we've heard from sources is that Solstice key-fob when pressed to release the trunk it will automatically pop the AFBTS's from the anchor points. We've also come to the conclusion through one comment we've heard that the AFBTS's are also possibly spring loaded. So when released they retract inward.rolandchen said:With the rooftop up, when you use the remote to open the trunk lip and you forgot to unplug the winglets tie down, what will happen ?
