We have a great day of events planned for Saturday, October 14th (a week from now). If you think you can make any part of this event, even just to drop by either the BBQ or the Car Show, please RSVP at: www.sky-sol.com/index.php?option=com_attend_events&task=view&id=6 (click here for the most up-to-date info).

Our current plan is to start gathering at 11:00AM at Saturn of Scottsdale for their BBQ Open House. You'll have a FREE BBQ meal catered by Big City BBQ. After lunch, we will go on a tour of Old Towne Scottsdale, then cruise through Cave Creek, Paradise Valley, and maybe Fountain Hills.

All Skys and Solstices are invited to participate, although if you have a Sky, please park next to the other Skys up front so the dealer can take some photos of several colors side-by-side. The dealer is sending out 5000 flyers and expects about 100 people for this event, so they said that they will try to reserve a parking area next to service for our club members who are not in the photo area. In the showroom at Saturn of Scottsdale, you will see the Cognac Frost custom Richard Tyler Saturn Sky and a Ponitac Solstice GXP side-by-side, plus a base Sky and Solstice available in the lot for demos. We also have a club member who volunteered to do a class on detailing, and we may have one of the service guys talk to us, but we are not 100% certain about this.

It will be fun. Free food! Drive around really cool Old Towne streets. Saturn of Scottsdale is located at 15350 North Hayden Road (across the street from Costco, just north of Raintree). After the Saturn BBQ and tour, we will head over to the Scottsdale Pavilions Car Show (a few miles down the street). Last month, the car show organizers moved us up front next to the McDonalds, and we hope to have a permanent spot after two consecutive "in force" showings. The format is flexible, depending on how interested you are in the car show. Some people arrive early, about 4:00PM or so and do the rounds, and others show up to chat for a bit before heading off to a dinner gathering at a nearby restaurant. The car show is held in front of Home Depot at Indian Bend and the Loop 101 in Scottsdale.
