The floodgates are now open! Cars will be rolling out in the masses from here on out. At least those that are not having some kind of option restriction.

You hit the nail on the head. Option restriction. I ordered the red leather and was then excepted. Since then there have been many people saying it was not "available" at this time. Even Ernest who is suppose to get one of the first Demo models ordered red and his "code" has't changed from 30. they say it is too late to change my order but if my order has a problem WHY WONT THEY LET ME CHANGE IT. Sorry for yelling I just am sooo confused and dont know what to do. If red is going to hold up my Baby I will gladly change to black only. Help please:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :brentil:

Calm down, Kimmi, it will work itself out. I can't seem to find anyone, anywhere, with any authority to commit to an answer. I don't know what the problem with an honest factual answer is, I personally think it is a bad way to conduct business, but they have their guidelines. However the so called "in the know" people seem to be able to answer all other questions, put to them, yet will hint around or evade a direct answer to Red Leather Option. We are all adults here and know that it don't always go the way it should, and if we are adult enough to accept disappointment, why won't they come forward and be honest with us? Just food for thought. I will wait for red

I would imagine they never stopped making them. There might have been a bit of break, but once they start you gotta keep them lines running (I'd imagine Sol orders are getting scarce...)

They Have Enough Solstice Back-orders To Keep The Factory
Busy All Year And Dealers Are Reluctant To Take Orders Due
To The Long Waits They Are Still Experiencing.
There Were Over 16,000 Orders For The Cars Before The First One Was Delivered. The Folks Waiting Are Not Too Pleased To Find Out That The Sky Is Now Being Built And Their Cars Are On Hold.

their cars are NOT on hold,, they are being built right along with the Sky, that is one reason they added a third shift.....

If twenty thousand cars are enough to keep the place busy -- then they are in big trouble since they will be building some 30-40000 cars a year there.
My comment that Sol orders are getting scarce means that I would be surprised if they had not pretty much sold out - Your statement that they sold 16000 means those cars should (I know there were delays) have been built in about 20 weeks of projected output. Less time now that they are 3 shifts deep.
They need to build about 600 cars a week. I bet they are very close

well ... I talked to the owner of the dealer... he said he is keeping track of my order ...
and that is build! but he doesn't have a VIN yet... (uhm..)
he also mention that he knows I'm getting excited but I when the car arrives he said that it was going to stay TWO days on the dealership so the gm specialist (or something like that) can check it....
but he said that as soon as the car arrived he would call me to go and take a look at it.
