Has anyone looked into replacing the stock gas cover (not cap) with a crome one? Do they even make one for the Sky? I think it would look great on my Chili Pepper Red Sky::thumbs:

On some colors it would look really great - I am sure there will be after market covers.... We just have to wait!

Yes I do, I got it two weeks ago yesterday (June 29) ordered it April 5. It's sweet....the main problem I keep running into is...I can't go anywhere without planning at least thirty mintues for PR. I feel like a walking show room everytime I stop somewhere. But hey, I'm not complaining it's well worth it

I think one of those aircraft style covers would probably look cool. I think they use them on the spyder

I think it clashes too much with the door handle. It might look good if the back portion of the car was longer.:)

I is not for me either -- I like less chrome with the Yellow. I am SO glad I gave up the chrome wheels and went w/silver.. Again -- 2 cents worth...

I emaild Brian at Kappasphere a while back about this subject. Asked if they were thinking of doing something in chrome or maybe the brushed metal look. Never got a reply, so I guess it is a no go for Kappasphere.
I think the burashed mettal would look the best. But only on some of the colors, the chrome would look good on other cololr. Just my 2 cents worth.

I think it could look alright. My mom's 2006 Eclipse has a silver gas cover (it's not really chrome, but her car is that bronze/orange color and she has a silver-ish gas cover on there, so it sticks out) and I think it looks okay. I would have to see it on someone else's Sky before I had the nerve to do it myself, though. Mine is going to be black so I think the silver/chrome would look good. Again, though, would like to see it on someone else's....

I would think you could just remove your stock cover and deliver it to a plating shop to achieve this effect.

On the lightening, they had the gas cap in a brushed aluminum on the rear decklid, but I think a chrome or brushed aluminum on th side would not look right. This car looks nissan 350Z and Porshe boxster-esk, That sounds more 89 mustang GT, or 87 ford escort-esk.:D
