Cloth Seats and other questions....

Has anyone seen the clothe seats? Everything says they are standard now and I am wondering if GM will play the "make the cloth seats stupid so they will buy the leather game". Also, a prevous poster said that after driving the solstice, that he felt it couldn't keep up with civics? Those who own a solstice, help out here. I just read a mag saying the HP will be 177 and the torque 166ftlbs. O-60 is 7.0 seconds. This should feel pretty substantial......much better then a cvic si that lacks torque at anything less then 5000rpms........(I would think)

At the power ratings that it has currently and with a the solstice estimate hovering around 7.0. The new SI is somewhere between 6.8 (Road and Track) and 7.3 (Car and Driver).

That's with the extra hp but lesser torque. In this flavor.. you won't blow the doors of one.. but you'll give it a run for the money. And you'll look better doing it. :)

WAY. Better.
Can anyone get the realistic 0-60 times on their solstice?
From roadandtrack.com "Our measurements of performance revealed a 0-60-mph time of 7.4 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 15.8 sec. at 86.8 mph"

I think I've gotten mine pretty close once or twice. I'm not willing to do a clutch drop at 4000 RPM though to get the best time possible.

Different mags have gotten from 6.9s - 7.5s depending on the magazine. GM says the official time is 7.2s though.
Acceptable. I saw the sema turbo/super charger kits in the pictures. That WILL be the way I go for the extra horsepower. No need to wait..
