Constraints on Red Line from 7/13 to 8/6

There is a constraint's on the Red Line for 7/31 to 8/6. ( pick up 6/22 ) How ever the GXP's will be built that week.

Per our Dealer " Small Dealer" contraint list. Sorry guy's, no Red Line that week.

I never thought this rumor to be true. I am expecting mid-late august at the earliest still, won't be shocked when they say later, or sooner.

I'm sorry this confuses me

. Does this mean that they will not start producing any Red Lines till at least after 8/6?

I hope you don't mind my quoting you for my own answer but I found this on another forum and I thought it was good information,

Every week GM releases Allocation and Constraint information to all retailers and this week's allocation correspond to vehicles that will be produced on the week of 7/31 to 8/6. This is what's called TPP (Tentative Production Period), similar to what most know as TPW (Tentative Production Week). This information, as you can see, gets released way ahead of time and is released every Thursday morning. Next week on Thursday I will get to see what is the Allocation/Constraint for TPP of 8/7 to 8/13. :twothumbsup:

Basically if there is a constraint that week it means that vehicles built that week will not be built with that constraint. For example, if the Manual Tranny is in Constraint for TPP 8/7 --> 8/13 it means no SKYs with Manual Transmission will be built that week so if your SKY is scheduled to be placed as a regular order that week and you wanted a Manual Tranny, your SKY will not be "picked-up" by GM until that Constraint is "resolved."

The current Constraint Report tells us that no SKY RedLines will be built during that TPP.

Since we have over a month until 07/31, do they ever remove the constraints before that date arrives? Or once a constraint is placed for a particular time frame is it there for good?
