Hello y'all...

Recently I saw one of our member mentioned his SKY was at code 3800 (Produced) for a very long time and all of the sudden it just "showed-up" at the dealership. :banghead: This reminded me of one of the stupid little quirks that DealerWorld has. If the individual looking at the status for any particular order number and they only click on the order number, the screen that pops-up shows the event code only until it reaches 3800 and it doesn't change after that; I have NOT seen it change even after the event code screen has changed to 5000 (Delivered to Dealer). If you really want to see your REAL Event Code History, the individual looking needs to click at the bottom of the screen that says "View Event History" and that one will give you the real one.

Seems like a lot of Managers didn't know this and where "assuming" that the Event Code in the 1st screen was the most current one and in reality is NOT.

Just a little "heads-up" and info for all...

Regards,

You DON'T... :banghead: Your Dealer has to do it for you and you will have to ask very nicely to get them to do so... A lot of them are not very fond of doing this... :nono:

I don't mind doing it for my customers, unfortunately, I can only see orders that have been placed at the store I work at and I'm unable to "track" orders from other stores (I have tried and I have not gotten ANY results  )

It’s Sales Consultants and General Manager and Sales managers like you that made this a nice ride. My GM was the guy doing the tracking and he actually thanked me for my gentle but persistent prodding. He told me it made him learn the system and he really feels confident with it. Hey -- he tracked mine to the DAY of delivery.
It’s why I am proud of that Saturn Logo on my car.

Seems like the 800# is a sporadic event. Seems to depend on who you end up getting on the other side. Apparently they where told not to give that information anymore but some are still doing it...

After seeing on this forum that everyone knew their event codes, I asked my dealer for my history. ( My car just showed up out of nowhere ) They couldn't find it. I sat down with him today and we found that link and BAM! there it was.. now I have a printout of my event history.
BTW...I went from 3100 to 6000 in 16 days.

 16 days?! Talk about good fortune! Friday will be 5 weeks from the day I placed the order for me. I should have it in 2-3 weeks. :D

I asked my salesrep about this and she said she wasn't "authorized" to get
that kind of information. I have a call into the GM who I've spoken to before and he hasn't called me back yet.

:brentil:
Some retailers have not given Sales Consultants access to GM DealerWorld. I didn't use to have access, but now, every time we sell a new Saturn we HAVE to sign-up the customer with OnStar and next month the only to access this website will be thrugh DelaerWorld; before I just happened to have a General Sales Manager that didn't not mind too much me asking questions for others...
