How so?

The new Saturn system is the long time used GM system that has been around much longer and revised more since it is used by all dealerships for all brands. The Saturn system was pretty much by itself and there's a very small # of Saturn dealers so devoting as much resources and development into it as the main GM system doesn't make any sense. Also looking at the production codes alone there are easily twice as many for more accurate vehicle information there alone.
