In August 2021, my body shop that was fixing my right front fender said they could get a new fender if there was too much time needed to fix my original fender, broken underneath and out of sight, To which I did laugh at their statement and said I doubted they could ever get a replacement fender.
Well they did order and receive a new fender through their sources which was Quality Buick GMC Inc, Albuquerque, NM, 505-765-1300. In speaking with the dealership just now, I was led to believe per their question to me; "what parts do you need? We have quite a lot of parts inventory around in our 4 dealership locations."
So that is what I was told, so a phone call might be beneficial if that info is of any interest to you.
My 2021 recollection is the body shop listed the fender at about $750, while a search I did back in 2021 of Quality B & G parts seemed to recall a $450 area price. (my insurance was covering) My sense is this approach will cost more than a talented repair person's work that would be less after the entire paint, etc. was done. But it could be the choice of some owners out there. That is if such parts needed can actually be sourced at Quality. A phone call might answer that and give you the comparison of different approaches to your needs.
