Hi Ryan,

Welcome. Sorry for the delay in getting your posts approved. I've fixed that, and you should be good to go.

You will find much about the Redline here, and with only 35,000 miles on it, you may want to keep it for yourself...

All the best!

Welcome! I think you will find this site is a wealth of information. I believe several of the guys here (not me) could take our car apart and reassemble it with their eyes closed. Have fun!

Thanks! I'd love to keep it for myself. But I just don't have a good place for it, and with 3 kids, its deserves a better home and someone who can give it more attention. I do love driving it though when I can.

That is one of my favorite "classic" color combinations. When I ordered my Solstice First 1000, Pontiac did not have the Tan top available, so I ended up ordering the Aggressive Red with the Black top.

It looks nice.

I actually would love to have a Green Solstice with a tan top...I think those came with the tan and gray interior I don't like so the interior would have to be redone but I'd want to do a wood dash kit on it anyway. I think that would look so nice. When I had my first Sky another coworker here had a green Solstice. He got it about six months before I had my Sky.

Thanks! This was my old man's favorite color combo too. His dream car was always a green convertible with a tan top, but its not that common. But he finally found it with this one.
Glad he got to enjoy it. It's a nice looking car. You don't see the green all that often regardless of top color.

On the very early Solstices that Green was only sold with the cloth interior or the Black Leather.

I tried to order the Green (Envious) body color with the Sand/Steel leather interior with a Black Top. My dealer got a note from Pontiac saying they would not build that combination, only the cloth interior or Black leather. My wife and I decided on the Aggressive Red Exterior with the Black Leather Interior, the only available top was the Black.

A year later and you could order it any way you wanted.

The Sand/Steel interior in the Pontiac was different than the Tan/Black interior in the Sky. The Steel color had a lot of Blue or Bluish Tint to it, I never liked it and GM/Pontiac was right, it looked bad with the Green exterior. But . . . I'm color-blind to some colors so "what do I know"?

Any way . . .

I didn't remember what they came with but if that's the case that would look great. Still, would consider getting the seats redone in kind of a brown leather to give it more of that '60s British sports roadster feel.

Welcome to the forum. Nice Sky photo. Green with tan top, the old English roadster look, Healy 3000 or TR-6, not something you see everyday in the Kappa.
Yours is only the 3rd one I've seen with that color combo.

You will find plenty of info here. Lot of smart people who know the Kappa inside and out. Many passionate owners here in love with their gem. The masses get confused when they see one of our cars, out and about...

3 kids, it's impractical for family usage... however, when dad needs a break, from the wife going on about the honey to do list, the kids screaming over who controls the remote...

Yeah honey.. I'm going for milk & bread, be back in a bit... after I decompress just a tad. Help me Lord err oh twisty section of asphalt, I need a break.

With the every growing crowd of new owners interested in the Kappa, I'm sure you will find a buyer for your car here. Word spreads quickly through out the community, and with that color combo you might have some inquiries soon is my guess.
