The Sky top will more then liekly be the exact same design.

Year one you're probably only going to be limited to black. Year oen for both cars is going to be fairly similar between the two, and options between the two will more then liekly be about exactly the same. GM's probably going to feel out the market and how well the cars sell before they start offering totally seperate options for low-volume ultra niche cars built on the same assembly line.

I thought at one time the color of the top would also come in Tan?.

Man that sure does look sweet. I really do like the top =) It kind of makes me want to forget about the sky and get the solstice (which was my original choice). It's that stick thing that lets me wait for the sky

I belive the Solstice is also going to get an automatic trans at the same time the sky does.

For some reason cars look completely different in black, I think I like it with the black top rather than a tan top, very nice!

Wishful thinking for those green and red enthusiasts. Nothing official other than black. But apparently the two-tone interior on the Sol is going to be extended to red and green. Since apparently the proverbial "they" watch these sites and since we as a group are going to claim responsibility for changing their mind - then it only follows that the more we talk up a tan roof, the faster we get a tan roof.

wow that looks good. I'm glad to finally see that. Its so rare that a convertible looks good with the top up, but WOW that top looks GREAT!!!

I have to agree. The Solstice looks very sharp in those pictures. However, when i was at the Detroit Auto Show, the black Solstice on stage didn't look as striking as Pontiac's pictures do. I guess it's all about the right angles and lighting.

I would think a tan top is a no-brainer considering competing roadsters from other manufacturers mostly all have tan tops, and considering the market placement of the Sky.

Seems like GM has made some pleasantly unexpected decisions with the Sky, like offering it in yellow and *potentially* the room for 1 or 2 golf bags in the trunk (see item number 4 here).

Have faith, y'all! If GM keeps making the right decisions they just might have a winner on their hands here.

Hmmm.. I sense a trend here... What is truly rare is a convertible top attracting so much positive attention! Not even Ferrari's tops are known universally for their beautiful design (although that might have something to do with the car under the Ferrari top... )!

woo hoo I hope they really do come out with the solstice in an automatic around the same time as the sky =) Then I will still be able to keep my options open =)

According to the most recent information early 2006 (so more then liekly when the Sky comes out) there will be an automatic SOlstice offered.
