I took the tour of the Spring Hill Saturn plant yesterday... It is very Impressive, Unfortunately the tour guide wasn't up on their product very well she told us that make 2 Ecotech engines at the plant A 2.2L 4 clyinder and get this A 2.4L 6/4 cylinder , it is based on power needs... a 6 when needing power and 4 when cruising...I just laughed whan she said that... and she was calling the Vue a Minivan... and then when she mentioned the Sky she didn't know the name of the car, she just said they were coming out with a 2 seat convertible... I pointed to my Sky hat and my t-shirt I had on....
makes me wonder about the people building these cars...

OUCH!!!!!

I am very disappointed to hear that. Really. I mean, in my world of business, I create a huge liability to my company and lose my integrity and credibility if I provide mis-information about my product. If someone were to ask me a question as a tour guide and I didn't know the answer, I would simply let them know I didn't know and would have to get back to them. But even more so, to not know my products of my tour AND be wrong about the information is just downright unacceptable. That's her primary job, is to "inform" or "teach" people about the products Saturn offers.

As for wondering about the people that build the cars... I wouldn't compare the two. I am going to give Saturn the benefit of the doubt. They have people reading these posts, I promise you this. I am familiar with a company that works with Saturn that keeps an eye on us, our concerns, our suggestions and our praises. The folks that work in the factories probably (and I don't know, really) work on assembly lines - like we've all seen. These guys are about building cars and that's far off from one tour chick that will probably get in trouble, unless we receive a response from someone with another side. Either way, chalk it up.

from what she said during the tour it seems like that the tour guide position is not just that, she was also one of the assembly line persons either before she got that job or maybe Tour Guide is a part time position...After she said that I had a hard time thinking everything else she told us was completely true...
I still enjoyed the tour, but I would have loved to see them assemble the space frames and bulding the engines... but I understand the safety reasons you cannot go into places like that...

Any how I am so excited about the Sky, and the more i hear about the Solstice makes me want a Sky even more.... and my wife is too

Thanks for the info. I appreaciate your input.
Sounds like the Tour Guide could use a good Tour Guide to explain a little more about the product she is speaking on behalf of. :willy:
