If you're in the US it shouldn't take long. Looks like 6-8 weeks. Lucky you arn't in Canada. I better get mine before the snow flies. I've postponed buying a boat this year for this car.
Image Information
When a dealer gets a image does it have certain restrictions like transmission or color of vehicle? After you get your image how long to you receive your sky?

The "image" is like a blank order sheet - Your dealer puts in the codes for everything you want. Say Automatic Transmission. OK if when he enters the info it accepts the Auto Trans -- then the car will be built with it. But if there are no Auto Trans' to order from that selection will be rejected. You have the choice of changing to manual or waiting until the image accepts the auto. Now as far as "how long" well I have been looking at others and figure it takes 3 weeks to get a VIN and then 4-6 weeks to deliver after that (build, inspect, ship). I have "guessed" that I should hear about a VIN right around April 13... Let's see if I am right...

Okay, I am guessing I will have a car by May 22. Just by "scientifically" studying info obtained at this site. I ordered auto transmission, dealer said there'd been a delay on auto trannies, but hold was lifted, but not before several in line in front of me passed altogether, so I got bumped up the line, I got lucky really. It will be fun to see how close I get to this date.
My order (image) was put in on 2/28 and went to code 025; it went to 030 last Tuesday (3/21)... so should I assume 3 weeks from 3/21 that I will have my VIN, and subsequently be at code 033?
It's all guessing -- You went code 30 nearly a MONTH after 025. Just read a post from a Newbie that says they ordered today and were told they were gonna get a car in August! OMG I could not wait that long....! I am hoping they are wrong!
