On the main page it says that production has started (under the pic of the Yellow Sky) but it does not give any details.

Read that this morning there, but kept quiet.
Sooner or later it'll be true.
(maybe already, but think we'd hear more noise of it...)
Haven't seen reference to this anywhere else yet.
So far, looks like "Dewey beats Truman", if only a few hours early.

Today I get a phone message that they have decided to add $5000 to the cost of the car.
What can I do (if anything) about this bullsh-t!!
Has anyone else been quoted a price above and beyond the sticker?"

that wouldn't be the first saturn dealer to pull that crap. A few on this forum, after paying the deposit and being on the list for months now have been told anywhere from 2500 to 5000 markup at the last minute.

Ya know, I don't think I've heard Kappaman stay this quiet for so long. Kinda makes me think that he knows something but can't say yet. Judging from the pics posted today of the plant.. I'm beginning to believe that they are in production... In those pics, if you look to the background.... there are tons of skys... Hard for me to believe that they need that many for "testing" all at once. seems like the would do a batch... check them, fix problems, do a new batch.

I think you're basically right.
Devil's in the details, but things could be getting closer.
They probably need to get a ton of em ready to meet shipment schedules
to hit dealers at various distances at around the same time.
Pure guess there.
If there's anything to this, we'll see more and more pics of a much fuller lot.

No haggle doesn't mean they can't screw you over on the price. It just means they are setting the price and that's it!

But of course if the car sits on the showroom floor for a month or more watch them negotiate.
