Been offered a one owner 2009 Ruby Red SE, manual, all stock with 48k miles. Clean carfax, new tires and in great condition. Seller won't go lower than $12k. Does this sound like a fair price?

Possibly. 2009s are lower production than other years and the SEs lower still but not as rare as a Hydro Blue SE or 2010. $12k...mileage is a bit high for that price I'd think but if the car is in good shape otherwise might be wroth it to you.

I didn't see any Redline info. But still an NA is a lot of fun and that is an excellent price if in good shape throughout and nothing needed. Has the water pump been changed? If not, that is a $1,200 or more to add.

Oh, I see it is an RL. Go get it at that price. Just swallow hard when the water pump calls.

FWIW, I paid $20k for my 2009 Ruby Red (non-SE) back in 2012. it had <11k miles, excellent condition barring one gash. I think the price you are looking at is pretty good.

That's what I paid for my Hydro with that many miles. But an Auto. But 2 yrs ago. so Probably not a bad price.

You would buying the best looking Sky made, the color is fantastic. Anything ever happened to mine I would be looking for the Ruby Red without doubt. By far my favorite color. Take it to a GM dealer, and have the go thru, pick out any problems so you can get it fixed. If the list is too high, move on. If I wasn't making a Sky into a trailer I would buy it (upon inspection). Just love the color period. Just realized it is a stick, would never buy it for any reason. But if you can live with a stick, it is good price.

I have to agree with that color being just an incredible color. That's my second favorite color after the Midnight Blue. Wouldn't mind getting a Redline in that color if I could afford it (and had a place to park it).

I called Doug up...T's Spouse. Remember he got his Sky Dragon demolished. He was not interested in becoming part of the Sky family again. Teresa still has her car.

I could see myself buying a clean auto, and just leaving it alone. No mods, other than the braces and a trifecta tune. Just love the way the car looks. Fast, sleek, perfect.

Thanks all for the advise and encouragement. I had the vehicle inspected and it has a couple of minor issues which are a quick and easy fix. It is now sitting in my garage and I am looking forward to enjoying my first Sky.

My 1st Sky Redland

Hello Sky people! I just purchased my first Saturn Sky Redline. It is the automatic turbo in silver 2007 2nd owner. Not a nik or scratch, perfect chrome and wheels, new rubber always ran non ethanol premium and synthetic oil. 46k miles on odometer. The only issue is foggy headlight lens' and condensation in tail lens'. I paid 10k cash. Any comments here upon my purchase or suggestions to remedy the lens condensation factor? Thanks everyone. I absolutely love driving it so far 350 miles from point of purchase to home.

Once the foggy headlights are cleared...install a 3M bra over them...no more fog.

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the forum.

Condensation in the taillights is fairly common, and if anyone has found out how to eliminate it I haven't seen the solution.
