Hi All....its F.O.G.,
The Hyannis area of Cape Cod is very nice. It has an old fashioned main Street that you can walk or sit and have a drink. They also have a dinner train that runs out of there. Its nice too. Ferry's to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard run from Hyannis too. Couple of things to mention....the cape is LONG. From the beginning to Provincetown is like 11/2 hrs or so ride ( if I remember correctly). Also, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, there are only 2 bridges over the cape cod canal ( that conncet the cape to the mainland ) and 1 main road, rte6, that goes thru the middle of the cape. I've seen traffic backed up for 2 to 3 hours trying to get over those bridges on some hoilday weekends. Getting over on a Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon ( or in this case Monday ) can be a nightmare so please plan accordingly.
If time permits, may I also suggets a stop at Foxwoods? It is the largest casino in the world I think and its not far off of rte 95. Just an FYI, even tho I live 2 hours away, I bought my Sky from Saturn of Hyannis. They are GREAT people.

Hey, thanks for looking...I like the main street in Hyannis, my +1 and I walked there after eating at Captain Parkers Restaurant, they have a lot of nice shops and stuff and it should be "sort of " warm that time of the year...I tell you one thing, they are certainly not short on is seafood places on Cape Cod....IE: Captain Parkers... Well, I hope you an your wife can make it....the more the merrier...The ride up to P-Town is nice, but the parking stinks....

K,

Well, I am going to post this on the other forum and see if I can get some of the members who expressed interest the first time I posted it...I will do that either tomorrow or Tuesday, I'm taking my +1 out to dinner tomorrow to Rivoli's....The first thing I think that needs to be discussed it

a) waterfront accommodations

b) just a regular hotel on the highway.

I received a letter from the Three Season Motel the same day i posted this, how funny and I need to get some input on where people want to stay...I rather stay waterfront, but if it is too much $$ for some we can work out a settlement...There is not much of a difference I'm price between the
hotels....

Check this place out and tell me what you think...

Three Seasons Resort; Dennis Port, MA on Cape Cod

Most likely the holiday weekend!

Ok, so the Howard Johnson in West Yarmouth Runs $84 - $115....

Just remember to check the cancellation policy before you book....On the higher rates you can cancel up to 4:00PM and you don't get charged....but on the lower end rate, it is non-refundable.....Like I said to Tammy I will go where everybody else goes...doesn't matter much to me as long as it is clean!

Wow, that is funny! The first time I took the +1 we stayed there....it was OK, but we had a corner room....Yeah B & B's are really expensive, especially around the Holidays....Tammy said that she would look around the cape for places....

#43 ·
OK, so they must have updated there rooms, because the one we had looked very dingy.....also, i checked on the Federal Govt. Rate and it was $59+, but that is reserved for only people on official Govt business, does this mean I have to wear my uniform while I'm on vacation........I checked the AAA rate and it was $89 or something like that....I will keep checking...175 Days :woo:!!!

NO :nono:JOKES ON THIS PICTURE EITHER!!!:YOU HEAR THAT JAYMAN!:nono::lol:
