So I went to the saturn dealership in orlando today to find out they didn't have it, but they had it at the orlando international auto show... mmmm. that made me kinda upset, I had to pay 8 bucks to see my first sky. oh well. I'm happy I saw it it rocked. I knew more about it than the sales woman there, I was all like yup I put my deposit down and blah blah... anyways it was fun to hang out around it as people asked me more questions than they asked her.. anyways I was happy.. kudos to saturn for a beautiful car.

There are still several people that haven't seen the car "in person". Consider yourself lucky... :)

On that note, you can obviously see why we are all so excited to get such a fantastic looking car, right?

Sorry you had to pay $8, that is a bummer to have to pay to get into those places. I also had to pay the first time I saw the car, but for me, having a deposit it, made it only more worth it!!!!

When I went to the NY show, I paid $12 three times and treated people twice for another $24, plus three trips into NYC at $8 in tolls each.

When I saw it on Long Island, I paid $8 and treated yet another friend, plus paid $10 to park (the Islanders/Rangers game was that night.)

That brings my total to $110, not counting the costs involved in actually driving the car or going out partying with my friends in the city twice since I was already there.

It was easily worth every penny.

I'd pay $20 to see the dam thing right now. As it sits I'm probably going to have to pay that much and I still won't get to see it until January. On the good side my friend who writes for a newspaper is going to lend me her press pass. I wonder if that will do anything for me.

I posted a week before it was here.

The Sky was here the weekend of the 18th - 20th. And at the Cassleberry location from 21st-25th. Right before the Auto show in Orlando.
That was eight days to see this hott car.
I would've hoped that you got to see the car before the show.

Have yet to see one

I'm still waitiing to see one..The area I live should have plenty of sales as the weather was made for it...I hope those Saturn people know we like convertables in this area as they have never sold one before. Not as hot and humid as Florida but we are near enough to the mountain resorts to ski. That brings up another question. What do you do about chains (just in case) when you wake up to see snow all over the place? Will they have chains that will fit? There isn't much clearance between the tire and the body. I sure wouldn't like to damage the body work.

Tire Chains a no-no

Per my Solstice owner's manual, page 5-59:
Do not use tire chains. There is not enough clearance. Tire chains used on a vehicle without the proper amount of clearance can cause damage to the brakes, suspension or other vehicle parts. The area damaged by the tire chains could cause you to lose control of your vehicle and you or others may be injured in a crash. Use another type of traction device only if its manufacturer recommends it for use on your vehicle and tire size combination and road conditions. Follow that manufacturer’s instructions. To help avoid damage to your vehicle, drive slowly, re-adjust or remove the device if it is contacting your vehicle, and do not spin your wheels. If you do find traction devices that will fit, install them on the rear tires.

Since the Solstice and the Sky are preety much identical under the skin, I'd have to assume the same will be the recommendation for the Sky.
