My RL Coming.......
Are you sitting down?! I called my dealer today to let them know that I noticed some posts on this website saying they were able to place orders for an RL. Later he called me and said that a GM Exec had called and was willing to put me on the list for 1 of 5 RL's being delivered in Michigan this year! I immediately agreed and was told that this will push my order ahead and I should get it even sooner than if I had ordered a regular Sky!!! WOOO HOOO!
My dealer suggested that maybe GM is wanting to get some RL's on the road to get more interest (like they need more interest!!??!!).
I don't think this is BS but was told I may have my RL in 1 1/2 - 2 months! It happens my 40th birthday is July 17 so I told them that is the date they should shoot for delivery!! Everyone think happy thoughts!!!! I have already cleaned out my garage!

The GM exec said 1 in 5 DELIVERED THIS YEAR in Michigan. He didn't say July big difference.
I wouldn't plan on seeing it in 1 1/2 to 2 months though. I know when the unofficial production of the GXP is going to start and the Red Line should be about the same time. So plan on MAYBE end of September or October for these car's to start hitting the streets.
Nothing is official yet, there could be quality issues or some problems that could arise which could make production start a little late. You have to wait untill the date get's a little closer and they make it official.

The local dealer here (NOT where I bought my Sky) said they are already over "promised" on the regular Sky with 30 deposits. As of 10 days ago when I stopped in, they had only received 3. - Good luck to the 27 people in-waiting. When I mentioned Redline I really got nothing but a shrug, as if to say "Not this year".dtbrown said:

Amen! Shocks me how poorly informed the dealerships are. I am a Newbie member on this forum and the GM at my dealership said to me today "Honestly you probably know more about the RedLine Sky than I do" and I agreed with him.........sad. Luke the one's with no info aren't trying to get info ! Tell them bring up the work bench order system and they will see they can order. Plus a lot of dealers might not want to order a red line for someone, they will keep it as a dealer order and get 5,000/10,000 mark up.
Mine is dealer ordered, but reserved for me, of course. I might get the first R/L in Texas, but just getting one is okay with me.:thumbs:
My salesman has been out of town I believe. But I know I am #1 on the list so no big deal
