I went to a club on friday night. I drove up to the door to get valet parking and they asked if I wanted it left out front. sure go ahead. i went in and partied as I am known to do. A few hours later I go the car is parked in front I get the keys I tip and not a word. Take off in the morning the police call and say a report was filed that your car was hit in the parking lot of the club.
I say what!!! Who filed it we can't tell you, you must come in. I Go out and look at car and corner of bumper very bottom of hood and the panel behind tire are scratched and bent. I'm picking up accident report today. Why didn't they come into the club and tell me. Why didn't the cops come in to the club and tell me, why didn't the valet tell me when I left. I am smoking right now.
Well off to the Police Station.

I know you say you're "smoking right now", which I think you are referring to as being super mad, right? But really, I'd be SMOKING now too, but smoking something "funny" to take the edge off,

Yeow! Oouch! And it was left in front? I would be so mad I'd likely head into the police station ala Rambo Style. Hope all the Kings horses and all the Kings men can put it back together again just like new.

that totally sucks!

I agree...the person who hit you should have told the valet, who should have then went inside immediately and look for you/make an announcement about it....THEN call the cops to file an accident report while BOTH parties are present.

It seems very odd to me that the valet didn't even say a word about it as you left. :nono:

Maybe it was another valet in the other car that hit you and so they tried to cover the accident by not letting you know about it right away.

Anyway, keep us posted about the accident report.
Hope you get it fixed soon.

For this reason i never use valet parking. I take trips down to atlantic city and i seen valet whack a poll while parking a maserati. If thats the kind of respect they pay to high priced car like that, how would they treat mine?
I hope everything works out. I would also definately ask why the hell you weren't notified immediately.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I would never, never, never let a valet park my car...NEVER, NEVER, NEVER....did I mention NEVER. I agree with Pitcom, people have no respect when it comes to someone else's property (this could very well be a Jersey things) You can bet that I'll be putting on my walking shoes (hopefully I'll be able to find a nook or cranny in my R/L to keep them  ) and parking it in no man's land especially since it doesn't have any "body side molding" to prevent dings.

Wow, that really sucks Scott. But I am in total agreement with a few others here in that I would never, ever let a valet service park my car. I've seen how those idiots drive cars, and there is no way in hell that I would let one of those morons get behind the wheel of MY car...period. Hope everything gets resolved promptly and to your satisfaction.

Got info

They said the person who hit it was there with a friend who had a breathing problem and a amubulance came for them and the girl was shackened up. when she back into the car. The police were already on site.
I thought yea she was hot and the cop gave her a pass on drunk driving and filled out report.
I was wrong I went to Police station to get report and ask why I wasn't informed. This really hot cop comes out that blows my theory, I think. she said they tried to page you but it was really loud. I have the info now and will call insurance tommorrow and give them the accident info. Let my insurance handle the leg work, the Cop said to call her she feels real bad. I said I'm not in the mood for apologies and I'll just let my insurance policy handle it. And yes Angel I am smoking on all levels now. Lol Also about valet I do it so my car is protected from drunk patrons. When I came in they asked me if I wanted it left up front, sure no problem. On report is the valets name and bouncers thaqt made statements. cop suggested that they thought you would go nuts. They must be mindreaders. Lol

no valet for us, when we take the Viper out, my husbands asks where do you want me to park it, and then we keep the keys and tip generously. But if the place they pick is uncomfortable with him we do not leave it. He ends up dropping me off and parking in B.F.E......

what city / club?

I did Valet when I first got my Lexus at Auburgine in downtown San Diego, got the car back and they stole my High and Mightly CD! When I walked up REALLY late, the windows were down and they were bumping hip hop trying to score some chicks or something, asses. I even went to Auburgine outside to pick it up, they said because it was so late (after closing) it was moved to a hotel, so I got to walk over there which is where I saw this mess.

NEVER EVER use Valet. Those are some low paid workers that will joy ride your car or pretend its their own.

Lucky for me a guy I worked with had a girlfriend who was a manager of Ace parking and fired the clowns.

I go to a particular casino in San Diego every now and then. I bought a brand new '97 Mustang GT and so I thought I'd be cool and let the valet take it. When we came to pick it up at the end of the evening I heard the little B*st**d light up the tires and try for some formulae 1 racing credentials. I learned my lesson the first time, good luck and take themm for your deductible!

You can fix the scratches easy just use a mini sharpie:jester:

never trust a stranger with anything you value. Hmm what about some kinda guard like a protective sheet that you put down the window put over outside of door and has like a rubber pad like windshield wiper has that you hold at top of window inside car and put window up to hold in place? That way the doors are covered and won't be scratched by fools who can't open doors. Or you could put a car cover on it every time you park it would need attach it to somethn so doesn't get stolen.
