Since most of us will be getting a new SKY in the next few months and will be enjoying the open road, listening to an awesome sound system, I thought it would be great to put together a CD/MP3 of great driving music. A few that come to mind are:

Ragtop Day - Jimmy Buffett
I Can't Drive 55 - Sammy Hagar
Little Deuce Coupe - Beach Boys

I sure that there are more. Everyone please add to this list and we'll have some great tunes to cruise to!!!

I will pop it in the CD player when I drive it away from my Saturn Dealership!!!:D

I am definately gonna have a MP3 disc that primarily consists of AC/DC. However, I am a HUGE Johnny Cash/Willie/Waylon/Merle fan...Any of the old school country. That will be my cruising tunez...but when I blast out of the showroom it will be Highway to Hell or Long Way to the Top cranked.

I didn't even think about AC/DC. Dirty Deeds... Done Dirt Cheep!. Perhaps something by the Stones. Satisfaction is out because I think I will feel very satisfied with the money I'm spending on this thing.

Give a listen to Donald Fagan's solo CD "Kamikiriad". To quote from one review:

"Kamikiriad" follows a probing story line about a post-millenial car called a "Kamikari," which in Japanese means praying mantis. The story's protagonist makes various journeys in the car, which comes equipped with a steam-powered engine and a self-sufficient biofarm, of all things. He cruises the "Transisland Skyway," which is the title of the first song, finds love, loses love (in a song called "On the Dunes," where "my life became a joke"), and then enjoys a dancing rebirth in the climactic "Teahouse on the Tracks."

"It's a mythic-hero story, with a supernatural method of transportation, like a winged horse or magic carpet. In this case, it's a high-technology car," said Fagen. "The hero undergoes a number of ordeals, and when he approaches his destiny, he has to make some sort of decision. He becomes despondent, but he reaches a kind of salvation. It's hardly an original story idea, but it's an allegory of life. It's not autobiographical, but it documents some of the things I've been through between 'Nightfly' and now."

According to the Saturn web site YES!

"Six-disc, in-dash CD/MP3 player with Monsoon audio system and AM/FM stereo"

I'm looking forward to being able to use my MP3 collection in my car.
