ATTN ALL KAPPAS

RADISSON has booked 90 of our allotted rooms (comps not included) out of about 125 rooms

IF YOU ARE NOT BOOKED AND REGISTERED I SUGGEST YOU DO IT SOON,

once the Radisson is full we will be forced to send you down the street to suitable substitutes
(not Super 8, I hope)

I guarantee that we will be sold out in 2018 and come springtime a lot of you undecideds are going
to end up away from the action

Act now or be forewarned !

Before I commit to this event, I would like to know when you will be posting the Runs available here? Days/Times/Location/length and so forth?

I have visited the site. Checked out the hotel site too. I now know the costs to me for attending this event. What I don't know here is what Day/Run/Time I would like to choose from?

Having checked out the route to and from this event on Google maps, the surrounding area, plus maybe a Run on Watkins Glen on the table it would be helpful to post as soon as you can what is in store, driving wise for us owner when we do get there?

With less than 30 rooms available and being sent down the street to another hotel away from the action of the main hotel gathering of owners something before the end of the year here might help us decide what days or runs we would like to attend?

Thanks

the OC will be adding runs to the home page soon.

But please Register now...you can pick the runs later...they will all be great

(posted on solsticeforum.com)
SAME ISSUE EVERY YEAR

People reserve a room because there is no charge to do so...so it's no money out of their pocket

People DO NOT REGISTER in advance because it is money out of their pocket right now ($150 or more [shirts] )

Even though your money will be refunded if you cancel 30 days before the event

SAME ISSUE....EVERY YEAR

yet without registration payments the Operating Committee (OC) may run out of funds (Watkins Glen ???)
and we want this to be the best event possible.

Kappas...consider Registration as a pledge drive

unlike previous years Corning will NOT have a "structured" run schedule

There will be several runs to choose from, BUT
all runs will be loaded Garmin-friendly for you to download...,and ALL RUNS WILL BE POSTED SOON !!!

what this means is that you can still sign in to a structured run lead by a designated Road Captain (RC)
or you can download the run into your Garmin and freelance with other friends (making your own RC and Sweep)

this means you can basically leave at your own time (not a pre-assigned time ...like 8am) and return at your own time
Bio breaks and rest areas will be tagged into the run downloads

Therefore there is no RUSH to see what the runs are...and sign up (you can do any run on any day Freelance)

Questions will be answered if there is still confusion !!!

@Druid-2 : I am not sure who my co-pilot will be on this trip. Should I put TBD in the proper slot and get it changed later? Or is there a better way to handle it from your end?

Thanks for the updated info about our event next year.

Little better now for me. My last time out was at Lexington. I will register soon, not sure what days yet, or how many hotel wise? Easy trip for me there, one road pretty much to take with quick exit right for me. Couple of hours travel. NBD.

Pick and chose your run or leave time, that's different. I think when I asked John back 2017, he had listed runs, what time they left, how long each were appox. to where, miles, types of cruise, aggressive short/long, cruise and booze run, Kappa in the state park run. I thought they were all planned or laid out that way. My bad here.

Register first with fee, pay pal or other? Then hotel, for at least two nights with code for room block? Then we will pick/sign up for what and where runs as they become available ?

I can work with that, little clearer now, but... I still wanna see what runs you do have for us. Google maps, I like to take a long look at what and where I am getting myself into before... I make up my mind to pick a run. I have checked my route there, look at some of the backroads, surrounding features, few quick est. on miles and such.

In fact I still have your stuff right here John, Adrenaline 1 KY 227 short/ Elk Creek Wineries. With brand new asphalt too...
Check my U-Tube site, short vids of us running the backroads. Two groups coming and going, waving at each. But here again, when I chose that run, an unfamiliar road to me.. I looked at it on Google first. Can't tell you about off camber turn left uphill here, long drifting down hill sweeper to the right there, the odd " cow" loose by the side of the road... little prep now might help later though of what type of road/run you are picking/expecting to get into. That's just me.

Sorry for blather on the keyboard gang...June can't here fast enough.
Check the home page every 2 weeks... get the ball rolling for now.

a Kappa owner asks.....

Hi. We’ve registered for NASSAM 2019! But, we need to know if there’s an itinerary of events as we probably can’t stay the entire week. Any info would be great, so we can book the hotel room accordingly. Thanks

THE OC has replied.

Our website is constantly adding new information...please be patient

Salvador Blumenkron If anything I would suggest to plan to be able to attend the dinner Gala. Which is usually held on the last night of the event. We are fine tuning the logistics and we will post more info as it becomes available, thanks!

THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE

THE RADISSON IS SOLD OUT 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE

I have cajoled the hotel to move 7 rooms to "open status"
(OC members were upgraded to make this happen)

Once these 7 are gone you will be referred to another local hotel. We will (hopefully)
have another 40 rooms made avbl within a 5 mile radius at these locations. We do NOT know which hotels
these will be until the C of C advises the Radisson .

Granted some rooms have been reserved "on spec" by people who won't register till Spring...and
some may even cancel. You may wish to be put on a stand-by list, but there is NO GUARANTEE that
Radisson rooms will be come avbl.

this has been a publicc service announcement brought to you by your NASSAM2019 OPERATING COMMITTEE!!
