Well, bought my 2008 redline cheap, in January in a snow storm in Idaho, for $4750, but with a salvage title, due to theft & recover later. However, it cost $1800 to get it out of idaho in the dead if winter, and back to Kansas city. Then another $900 to fix the leaking water pump, replace hoses, belts, plugs, the usual (mostly labor cost, at a discounted $65 a hour). Fortunately, the Goodyear asymmetrical tires were almost new, so that saved some money, and it was a rust free car with 72K miles. Looks fantastic following my compound and wax job, runs fantastic too, though it did have a recall on the passenger seat airbag sensor (no charge)
Lets see a pic (y)
My sol is insured for $70k. I have more than that into it. You are not alone.
let’s see a pic
There’s alway someone who takes the fun away from a forum like this.
I never got the impression that the OP was bragging about anything?! $13700 is not a huge amount of money for a car plus one-year maintenance!
not bragging. Just saying what a fun car for just a little amount of cash. If wanted to brag I’d talk about my wife or my son. Or maybe even my C6
You guys are why the Sky forum is small and dyeing. Its really sad.
I thank you. Your a sweet heart of a guy
I find it very helpful to use this forum. Share information. It’s fun. To the guy with with the big dick. I’m 66 years old and really shouldn’t waste my time even responding to your two cents. Enjoy life it’s much too short
Getting this back on track...

That is about what I paid for my 07 base in 2014...nice to see them holding value like that. And that is a good price for an ECM replacement. Do you have a tech2 for the security handshake stuff?
Don't have a tech 2 I'm in the auto parts business and purchased an ECM pre-programmed. Plug and Play. I just purchased a LAUNCH CRP129X Scanner. I need for work. It already paid for itself. I replaced the Right Rear caliper as the piston was broken. Could not spin it in. It would just spin the internal threads were stripped. So I need to reset the Brakes/ABS because they pulled a little bit. After I reset them with the scanner, they work perfect. Plus now have no codes at all. You can do a Key relearn without a tech 2 There's lots of info on how to do it. something like Insert Key turn to on do not start. Leave it for ten minutes then turn off for one minute then repeat three times. The security light will go off. It will start after that. The ECM must be programmed with the VIN and of Couse the year make and model of the car Thru GM
