I added another site to the run, a Korean Monestary. They have some beautiful pagodas (not what the Korean people call them). We will be able to have our cars pictures taken with them. I had to let the head monk drive mine around the complex. What a guy!! They are very familiar with them, meaning the Deawood. He was smiling all the time.

Trying to do some things that really have not been done before with a car group. You will definitely like the drive into their site, hopefully we will have time.

We have group rates at the Hilton Garden Inn, here is the Evite

We are providing free Tee Shirts for the drivers, a 3 ring binder with all driving information and historical information of each of the areas and cities/towns we pass through. In total it will be almost 200 miles of driving on some fantastic roads. Which are in far better condition than our freeways. We do not get on the freeway one time for the whole trip.

If interested PM me. Will get you caught up

Also with in the run, we will be having a Poker run. We have goodies from DDM and Windrestrictor. Hopefully enough so everyone wins something. Again, there is still time to get in, we are at 14 cars this morning.

Where are y'all gonna be in PS? I'm here for the weekend and might be able to meet up someplace to add to the Sky swarm.

Our destination is Hilton Garden Inn in Rancho Mirage. Maybe close to 20 there. Some are only doing Saturday and heading home after dinner though. Sunday we will drive back through/on 74 to Hemet. A great road with lots of turns, elevation changes and goes from cactus to tall pines. Neat drive for sure.

PM me and I will get you my phone number.

All have the route, the binders are done.
We have goodies from DDM and Windrestrictor, that I think who ever wins them will be quite happy with.

Car is fixed and clean, waxed, tire air pressure checked, suit case ready.

Now to Roll.

In the hotel after a great day of driving the devine Inland Empire area mountains. We had some very good drivers on this run. Some minor mechanical problems, a whole lot of of sun and burning going on. Roboteck shall for ever be known as Robo the Racoon. Maybe marked for life.

A great turn out, a fantastic day and some wonderful people driving exceptional Skys and Solstice vehicles. What a great day. Weather was absolutely perfect at every site. A great breakfast in Angeles Oaks, many excellent choices at Idyllwild for lunch and capped off with dinner at Aqua Pazzi.

Quality time with our cars, great people and close friends. A lot of positives from this event. Hopefully the first of many more to come. According to those with little birdies, they have been told Julian will be the 15th or 16th of November possibly. More information to follow.

Wish more of you could have made the run.

Here are a couple of photo's of the Monastery we visited.

It was good to see the Arizona crew. The Black Sky was fantastic.

Better yet was Robert's Sivler SKY with 275's all around. Open the Hood and a nice LS3

Had a great time and yea, serious case of raccoon eyes. Don't care had a great time! Good seeing everyone and getting to put some faces to the names here on the forum.

Razz, good seeing you and talking to you at dinner. I think the ride home was about as exciting as the rest of the day. That guy in front of us with the truck and trailer was FLYING!

Thanks to Gman for making me feel like a movie star. LOL

Sorry I missed seeing Robert's LS3 powered Sky. Was very cool though to see Cal's Solstice Coupe. First one I've seen up close and personal...covet that trunk space. LOL

And a big thank you to DDM Works and Windrestrictor for sponsoring the event! Big props to our vendors supporting our little group! I came away with a handy little item I didn't even know existed...a trunk insulator mat...and happily added it to my car immediately. Will do well to help keep my lunches cool on my way to work! Thanks Dave for that!

Overall a great time and can't wait until the next one. I think I may plan a Sunset in the desert, lunch in the mountains, sunset at the beach run sometime next spring and there was talk about attending the 2015 national event in Oregon next summer.

Now, wonder if anyone would be interested in a track day at the Streets of Willow Springs? Hmmmm...

Ja, that guy in the truck looked like he was a local so I let him pass us in Palm Springs and decided to follow him.

That was a good choice.

It was safer and allot of fun! He was fling in that truck!
