A few days before Valentine's Day you may have received an email requesting your help, or you may have seen a post about it on this site. Many of you responded, and for that I can't thank you enough. Due in large part to your effort, Saturn received requests for over 30,000 wristbands. That translates into a $15,000 donation from Saturn to the Marrow Foundation to offset the cost of adding people to the donor registry. Now I'm going to ask you for your help one more time.

The facts haven't changed:

The number of people requiring lifesaving organ transplants continues to rise faster than the number of available donors. There are well over 87,000 people currently on the waiting list in the U.S. alone...

Approximately 30,000 patients each year are diagnosed with leukemia
or other blood diseases that are potentially treatable with marrow transplants but just one in three will find a donor match within their family. The remainder look to the Registry for help.

Because of this, and the overwhelming positive response we received on National Donor Day, Saturn is going to do it again. Our goal this time is to receive requests for another 69,000 wristbands. You can help by visiting between March 3 and March 8, 2005, and clicking on the link at the bottom of the page to receive your complimentary wristband.

For each wristband requested up to 69,000, Saturn will make a donation to The
Marrow Foundation(r) to help offset the cost of adding registrants to the
National Marrow Donor Program Registry. If you're interested in more information
about The Marrow Foundation use this link:

Please join Saturn in this critical effort to promote lifesaving donations. If you missed the chance on Valentine's Day, here is your chance to participate. If you didn't get a chance to send an email to your friends, now you can. Tell your friends... send them an email and encourage them to forward it to their friends too. It will only take a few clicks, but the results could last a lifetime.
