Not that far fetched if hot enough.I struggle with any type of rear spoiler, let alone the BBQ grille.
Hamburgers anyone?

So do you have to remove the luggage each time you need to access the trunk?
Kinda PITA imho.

I understand equating this ‘pinnacle of style and design‘ luggage rack to a BBQ... because it absolutely...... the BBQ grille.
My '70 MGB had one also. Looked nice but i never once used it for luggage and I'd probably feel the same way about an original 'luggage rack' on my Sky.Unsure about this one…
Some days I like it, and some days I‘m not that enthused.
My MGB came with one, and I can’t say I‘ve ever used it, but then again the MG is spacious when compared to the Sky.
I will say this-every time I want to clay bar or wax the car, I have to remove it to do any kind of a good job.
That gets a little old.
I’ve seen cars with these at our club…I have given thought to a hitch mounted storage box. I have not been able to find something that is sized appropriate for the Sky, yet meet our specific need. I am leaning toward having something welded-up to mount a 48 gallon Rubbermaid ActionPacker.
It wouldn't be pretty, just functional to accommodate two sets of golf clubs. The few longest clubs would still have to be stored in the Sky trunk.

Picnic anyone?
Understood. I saw people carrying their clubs in the same hard case they used when transporting the clubs on an airplane. Thanks for the reply. The problem with that type of carrier, is the clubs would be a lot taller than the car. With the ActionPacker idea, we could travel overnight with some type of tamper-resistance.
That’s right up there with the handful of beans for the cow…Saw one on a Facebook classified listed for I think 1100…I don’t know if they negotiated down but it sold.
