This is our proposal for NASSAM 2022 for the consideration of the Kappa owners. If the community seems to be in favor of our proposal, the investigatory committee will start working on actively planning the event. Due to the summer tourism in the proposed location, we need to begin VERY soon so we can make sure and secure a hotel.

NASSAM has only been west of the Rockies three times - Las Vegas, Nevada (2008), Flagstaff, Arizona (2013), and Stevenson, Washington (2015, usually referred to as the Portland event), and it has never made it to the coast. After NASSAM 2020 in South Dakota and NASSAM 2021 in Michigan, let’s go to....

17th North American Solstice Sky Annual Meet (NASSAM)

To be determined, possibilities:

Doubletree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country (Rohnert Park), ~$180, 245 rooms

Schedule
Sun (June 19) - registration (evening)
Mon - registration / silent auction, runs, car care workshops, vendors
Tues (summer solstice) - registration / silent auction, runs, car care workshops, vendors, meet & greet
Wed - registration / silent auction, runs, car care workshops, vendors, group photo (location TBD)
Thurs - registration / silent auction, runs, car care workshops, vendors, car show
Fri - registration / silent auction, runs, car care workshops, vendors, closing banquet / awards presentation / live auction / future NASSAM announcements

Selected runs and social gatherings will also be held on the weekends before and after NASSAM as well.

Or maybe the second time.
Did you do multiple types in Kentucky? I don’t remember that. If I misspoke, I apologize.

Yes. We had a basic registration and made the banquet optional. It worked out pretty well as we had several that couldn't be here for the banquet due to prior plans, and some who didn't want to spend the extra for it.

I really think having those weekend events for those who can't make the weekday festivities is a great addition.

Oh, and I've been told my presence at the banquet is required so I'm in for this one. LOL

Also would love to help with the planning for the autocross/racing events.

Has a location for 2020 been announced? I keep looking for my name in the obituary section so if TIME and Location permits...I may arrive in a vertical position.

Sooner, will help all I can. I can work on some of the sponsors for our run and see if we can't get a few more there. Let me know what you need from me and the other half.

Should be a great area! West coast Kappa club and San Diego roadster club should have quite a few that can make it. I'd be coming from Phoenix. I'll make it a 2 day drive up and back for a nice full week vacation with my Sky!
