Captured Z07

He shot pass me. But I saw Him coming.
This SKY had the Z07 badges just south of the wheel wells on both sides with Z07 stiched on the headseat pad.
Anyone else out there that knows what else is included on a Z07?

Haven't heard of a 'zo7' so my guess is he bought the letters from that place in canada that sells the chrome letter mounts and added them to the car. As far as the headrest goes, I embroider head rests all the time for a upholstry shop, you wouldn't believe the things people have embroidered on their car seats...

Yeah I almost added that package to my Sky. $3900 at Saturn of CO Springs. Thats where I ordered my SKY from. He said it was clearly optional and I didnt have to have it. I thought there was something more with the package but I don't remember.

$4000?!?! WOW! That's pretty expensive for some badges and a bra only to have Corvette owners laugh at your obvious rip on their higher-performance trim.

Z06 is a top trim level of the Corvette (for those unaware) that has the 505 hp LS7 7 liter V8 rather than the 400 hp LS2 V8 found in the lower trim levels. This number is a factory code for the option. This is like Z28 for the Camaro, Z71 for an upgraded off road package on trucks...or, if you look on your car, you will see a white sticker that has a ton of these three letter codes. Each one represents some feature, standard and optional, on your car. It is just that some like Z06, Z28, and Z71 have become popular over the years and have actually found their way into the name of the vehicle. Usually, owners of these vehicles will spout off this option code with pride to let you know that their car has the option and isn't just a regular old Corvette...and with 505 hp rightly so.

Z07 is something the dealers have made up and is NOT a factory option like Z06 on the 'vette. It is nothing more than adding the name to give the car that "hi performance" look...like it is something special performance wise when it isn't. Hence why the Corvette owners will laugh their butts off over that because it is such an obvious rip off of the Z06 badging.

True, but Z07 was the option package the aftermarket company MTI offers for Corvettes. It is a 427 small block. (they were doing it on the C5 Z06's, before GM went with a 427 on the C6 Z06.)

I'm not a fan of putting badges all over your car.
