Sky won't start

you need to reprogram your key.

i believe you can use the 10-10-10 method on these cars.
get in the car turn off everything, shut the door. insert key, turn to "on" do not go all the way to start. leave for ten minutes, security light will go out on dash, turn off car ten turn back to on and repeat 2 more times. after third time turn off. then try to start the car, it should pe programmed.

If as he says the lock image goes off after a few seconds I doubt a 30 min relearn will work as the lock has to say on for the full 10 minutes each time.

I hook up a snap on scanner and it says there is no key in the ignition. The key was on and turned to on position.
