i would like to apologize to everyone on this forum who was offended by my posts last week.

i think i owe it to you to explain my posts. first of all, i was banned for "Disrespectful and Uncivil posting, Harassment", and there was mention of my posting 50 posts in thirty hours beint excessive.

I did not realize that there was a limit on the number of posts one could put up.

i did not realize i was "harrassing" anyone. that was certainly not my intent, and if you feel that i harrassed you, please send me a pm and explain why so i can avoid that again.

i did not realize that pointing out that the sky is a cute, sexy car made for girls was disrespectful and uncivil, and still don't think it is wrong to discuss that on a car forum. was that it, or did i say something else?

and for all those posters who called me names like a-hole etc, threatend me to come to their state, and called me limp-wristed etc., i think it is good that you can post that type of stuff on this forum, but please note that i never resorted to attacking anyone or calling anyone any names. And I never went running to an administrator to whine and complain about your attacks. I simply stated my belief that the sky is a chick car.

I promise to change my tone and keep my number of poats down.

That being said, I add a few comments.

It takes a big person to apologize publicly and I commend you for that. I did not like many of the replies to your posts which were also rude, disrepectful and downright crude. I can't and won't make apologies for them. I gave them a little slack as they have usually been courteous and civil. You did give them a little ammo though by just not, "agreeing to disagree", as in your opinion of the car being a "girly car". It is "OK" to have different opinions. That is what is great about our country. Another matter was your seemingly incessant posts, I believe, to Hotsky to answer. That was a little much. Again, just my honest opinion.

Welcome back.

I will also post this publicly, in the hope that other posters will see this, and maybe think twice before making a post which would incite discourtesy and dessention among our members. (Privately PM'd also)

Cute Sky

I've been saying that all along. Facts are facts and to me the Sky is the cutest thing since sliced bread. Those of you who disagree with me have that right but I still believe that those driving the Vette's. Vipers, etc. will be making comments about the Sky being a girly-car and cute. Does that matter? I don't think so. I drive what I likie to drive and those who don't like it don't have to make my payments or pay my insurance. It's a car that has universal appeal but it doesn't change the fact that it isn't a V-8 and doesn't make an Un-Godly noise when going down the road. I haven't followed your posts that got you into trouble so I can't comment on that but by the same token it takes a big person to say that they are sorry and you certainly are forgiven by me. I still think that "Pink" should have been a paint color option for the Sky.

I don't think it was the fact you said the things that you did, I think it was the tone you delievered it. You went on posts and said things that had nothing to do with the topic, and tried to belittle people because they bought a Sky.

I didnt notice that he was directly belittling people just giving an opinon that people disagreed with.

I think it does take a big person to apologize after the fact that you did tick off a lot of people. It wasn't so much you labeling the SKY as being a "girl" car because that is fine, but you saying stuff like drive it up brokeback mountain (obvious gay ref) and for the men who buy it they will need to buy dresses and wear them while driving it is just not right IMO. Thank you for the apology and if you want to argue any cases that are straight factual I am sure everyone would like to hear it (such as the car not having enough power...I said that after you did but I argued points on how I will address that issue (CAI, headers and exhaist) and then I will be one happy mofo). The fact that it is a girl car is strictly your opinion but for some reason I have had a list of girls that have asked to model with it when I get it (this was by their request and they are straight up free lance models I have met through car clubs). Now I don't know about you but why would a model want to take pics with a girl car? I did not approach them, they approached me from the car clubs that I know and have asked me if I indeed was getting one and everyone in the clubs know what this car looks like. We have all said it looks like a smaller scale corvette and that is why they want to model with it (might even appear in a magazine if I am lucky and can get the proper rep). Thanks again for the apology and we look forward to having debates on facts about this car. :cheers:

Thanks for the Apology, what got you suspended for a week, you posted over 50 times stating the exact same thing and Insulting the masculinity of the men on here every time and making dispariging comments about males that drive Skys, and you never had one constructive comment... I for one Tried to commuincate with you in a civil manner but you ignored my questions.
You are free to post your thoughts and opinions, but please make them constructive or on topic.

If you want to make comments about the car that is one thing, but you have no basis to make references to the people that drive them. We are here to learn and help each other enjoy our skies.

It's not just the number of threads you made, but how you made them. Whether intentional, or accidental, your comments were very inflamatory and insulting to a number of people on the forum. Also, being a new member, and posting so many posts that got people excited all at once, you did appear to be the classical internet troll who shows up on a forum, hits it with tons of posts to get the members all riled up, and then splits to watch the carnage.

You were given the temporary ban to cool you down, and let you think about what you posted and how you worded them.

If you are prepared to be a positive and constructive member of the community, it will welcome you with open arms. Just be aware of what you are posting, and how you are saying things in your posts. Any point can be made in a way that is not insulting or degrading, but it sometimes takes a bit of effort to fabricate the post in a way that doesn't do those things.

There is no daily post limit, but posting is not a race. A few, very well written, high quality posts is always far more beneficial and productive than a lot of short, poorly thought out, and overall low quality posts.

I'd also suggest that you don't take anything personal, and do not try to make anything personal with others on the forum. That is one road to a flame war. Even your apology, addressing people who used fowl language with you. It probably would be best just to let the issues drop, and work about improving your own posting. Don't worry about how others post. Once you have taken care of your own post content and posting habits, everything else will fall into place and work out.
