Speed likes the Sky more than the more "blobby" Solstice (ouch :confused)...

Best new fun sports car since the Miata:
SATURN SKY
When was the last time you heard the words “Saturn” and “fun” mentioned in the same breath? OK, maybe the Ion Redline Coupe. But later this year, Saturn will start selling a $23,000 pure-blooded, two-seat roadster that should munch Mazda Miatas for lunch. The 2006 Saturn Sky shares all its mechanical bits with the upcoming Pontiac Solstice, which means a stiff Kappa platform, 2.4-liter, 170hp Ecotech four-banger and rear-wheel drive. And to my eyes, the Sky, with its swept-back headlights and chiseled lines, looks way-cooler than the more-blobby Solstice. And the interior design too is just to-die for, with its cool styling and great fit and finish. For $23-large, it should fly off the showroom

I really hope they're right about the $23,000. That would help keep the Saturn Sky RL in my sights. Lets look at some numbers real quick.

Vue RL FWD V6 - $25,225
Vue FWD V6 - $23,230
Premium = $1,995

Vue RL AWD V6 - $26,885
Vue RL AWD V6 - $24,890
Premium = $1,995

ION RL - $21,450
ION 3 Coupe - $17,245
Premium = $4,205

Cobalt SS - $21,995
Cobalt Coupe LS - $16,485
Premium = $5,510

With these values you're talking $25,000 to $28,000. I'm really hoping for a $26,000 or lower price. Otherwise if it's closer to $28,000 it's going to be much harder for me to choose it over other cars I like near that price.

"Blobby Solstice", WOW, now that we have 2 forums, some of the people on the Solstice forum may not take to kind to this reference of their favorite roadster.
I agree that the SKY is the better looking of the 2 - IMHO.
On the other hand, Solstice buyers get to drive their baby this summer which raises the issue of the net present value of fun vs the future value of fun..
