Welcome to the forum/site permagrin club...
Happy wife.. Happy life.
Dream car... and the chase.
Ruby Red... a real eye catcher when traveling among the masses.
MOPAR Musclecar Guy : 73Challenger pro street.. owned a 74 R/T Challenger not pro street though.
The Sky's are timeless. Too bad Saturn went under.
About the stripes question here... I have no factory stripes on my car, however other owners here do
so your results may vary with their suggestions as to care for: copdriver91 might have a point here
hard water stains, mild acid wash, calcium/lime build up. Try this on a small sample spot, before waxing.
I have hard water here, so I don't use the water to wash my car at home. After a major rainstorm I usually wipe it down.
If no rain, I will wipe it down with the well pump water here, or a quick blast into town to use the local/town water at Wash N Go .
Some light polishing compound might help before applying wax/sealant of your choice.
A good shamme or water wiper plastic blade, air blow dryer, will/might help with not removing to much of your freshly waxed surface. Vinyl reacts differently sometimes to painted surfaces.
Whether it be factory installed or after market graphic shop, they will fade in the UV light,
pick up stains that might not come off easily.
IF.. you can remove these spots before waxing/sealant it will last much longer imo.
Then again... you can work for hours on something like this and still have the water spots.
The clear plastic film under the buttress panels is another area that has it's draw backs.
Some owners have removed this film all together while other have installed this film ( 3M )
to protect the front nose or rear panels just in front of the rear tires to protect these area's from road trash,
stone chips, bugs & tar. DYI or maybe a detail shop might have a go at it for you. They can fade too.
Ruby Red is an awesome color! Yes it is.. and from your photo sharp looking model there.
Good purchase and.. the wife is smiling too. Better than her … not smiling! Know what I mean?
Weekend get way trip to a new unknown destination for the both of you ( throws dart at map ),
2 night stay at B&B, carving up a few twisties and smiling all the way home.
Monday morning.. co-workers & neighbors are wondering what is going on with you two?
Don't tell them the reason why you two are so happy. Shhhh.. It a secret.. our gem.
