Thumbs Up!!!!

I have decided that after as many "thumbs ups" as I have received, that I wanted to post about it.

I sent my dealership an email that stated....

I just wanted to bring an observation to your attention....

I have now had the car for 16 days. If I have enough energy, I will post a "thread" on the forum tonight about this, however, I have to tell you that the new motto for the Saturn Sky should be... "Thumbs Up for Saturn - The big comeback for GM".

"I only wish I could take a picture of everyone that gives me a thumbs up when I am driving. Whether the top is up or down, whether it's moving or not, I have received more attention than I could have possibly imagined. But the majority of the population look at the car with x-ray eyes, then smile, then mouth either WOW or Saturn?, and then give me the big "THUMBS UP" sign. It's so cool.

Hope all is well. I'm even excited to make my first payment!"

They are talking about the Red Line version, which is not available till the fall!!
Whats the difference between redLine and regular sky's?? Looks? features?
Do some research on this site, you will find all that info and more!!!

Thumbs Up Saturn

I too have seen more thumbs up than I could count. In fact today I was stoped at a red light and could hear the guy driving a pickup truck behind me saying "That is the hottest F___ing car I have ever seen I can't believe that thing" he was saying it over and over again...

When I drove to Disney world this weekend crowds gathered at the rest area to stare at it. I have yet to get anything but positive comments from anybody. It has been so cool. Ok I liked the Sky so much I went to the dealer and put a deposit on a second one... I am on the waiting list for a redline. An extra 83hp will make it even more fun. When baby number two shows up I will trade or sell baby number one.

It's crazy here in Richmond Va. as well. Everywhere you go you have to answer questions about the car:D I want to work for Saturn now!! I think that I could push this product, for its a product that sell itself. Malls, gas stations, 7-11, everywhere you go, be prepared to be questioned:thumbs:
I get "the nod" the most. It's a real ego booster.
I dont mind the questions and attention, but when people ask "how much did that cost you?" I think that borders on rude. I feel its almost like asking someone "whats your salary?"

Expect the cost question from 90% of the people.

I'll tell them just to get a reaction.
Every single place I go I get questions about it, anyone that's in the same parking lot I pull into comes to talk to me. Last night I was stuck in DC traffic on the beltway, it was bumper to bumper, and the guy next me rolled down his window and we talked for 5 minutes about it while driving, it was funny (we were mostly stopped). I get asked all the time how much i spent on it, I do see where this is rude, but they are still so uncommon and people are curious.
Same here. My dealer tells me he could have sold mine several times over while it was in the showroom. In fact, someone came in and placed an order after seeing mine. He said "I want one just like this". In fact my color combo is on the cover of Road & Track.
The SKY is a hot commodity. Has GM finally woken up?

I would just ask them "What do you think a car like this is worth?" I'll bet they shoot high and you can brag even more.... :D
I am now an Official Unofficial spokesman for the Saturn SKY. I come out of stores and there are people gathered around the car. I have to run the gambit of price, features, top up, top down, and how long did it take. I assure you I am not disgruntled about this at all as it is to be expected. But sometimes you are just in a hurry to get some where and don't always have time for show and tell. I have always taken the time to at least give abreviated details of the SKY. Besides I am proud of my Little Missy and would much rather others appreciated her for her beauty. It sure beats jealous paint scratchers. :willy:
you can't blame the people for asking though, sorta rude but at the same time, it's a completely unknown car in many circles so they have NO idea about ANYTHING. It's not like seeing a BMW/Porsche/etc etc

I wouldn't answer such a question. It is tacky, and as we used to say as kids, "none of your beeswax".
